Fueling issue 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

Hillbilly is my name n I'm new to the game
Recently purchased a 92 efi tb42 gq
The other day I washed her after taking her out for her weekly bushwalk now I may have ****ed up by pressure washing the engine bay as my issue has only started since doin so...
(Note I did have the engine running whilst doin so)
The issue I'm having is first start up starts fine let her run for a few minutes( or go for short drive) then turn it off let it sit for a min or two n try start it again n it won't start unless I've removed fuel pump fuse then start it n let it run for a sec or 2 then put pump fuse back in🤔

every now n then it'll start back up ok n then it'll start up rough as guts and lumpy black smoke chokey acceleration...🤔🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I have no idea I've replaced fuel filter ,fuses, cleaned the map, cleaned the air filter checked wiring everything I've checked seems to be in working order...🤔🤦🏻‍♂️
On another note I also have a clunking noise coming from front end suspension when turning sharply or goin over bumps 🤔 my thoughts are tie rod n drag link possibly need replacing as I've put in a 2inch lift recently also 🤔
Any info on these to problems would b muchly appreciated

Front right wheel knock/grinding noise

So I thought the wheel bearings where on there way out and purchased a new set (both sides) pulled the offending side apart cleaned it all up and guess what, they have already been done by the previous bloke. (I've had her for 18 months) so now I'm stumped to what is causing the noise, it only happens when I turn left while under power, could it be the suspension? The front shocks have been replaced but the rest all look original as they are all black.

Who in Sydney are tuning the TD42 sliver tops.

Steering wheel vibrates violently

I have a1997 Y60 Nisan Patrol that has developed a violent and nasty shaking of the steering wheel when it meets even slight road unevenness at speeds above 60km/hr. Changed front shocks and carried out wheel balance and alignment, but problem persists. Will appreciate ideas as to what to do next to resolve the problem.

TB42E temp guage not working

Recently picked up a 1992 model TB42E and I temp guage doesn’t work, gets to maybe 1/4 of the full guage, threw a new temp sensor in and still the same, is it possible I have a faulty thermostat as my heater also seems piss weak?

Hi mount turbo/ top mount intercooler issue

I recently bought a top mount cross country intercooler for my maverick and was told by their salesman after sending him a pic of my top mount set up that it will fit. Im running a schwitzer dyn125? Turbo and the wastegate actuator is right in the way of the pipe leaving the intercooler unit. Is there anyway around this cheaply?

So I recently purchased a swb safari 1989 24v, beautiful car although soon after purchasing the head unit stopped working along with the uhf(on a reducer) and front spotties, it happened after I charged the batteries, have checked the fuses under the steering wheel and they look fine, wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and what they did, not much of an auto electrician so any help or advise towards troubleshooting and making things work again would be great and I can't think of what to do or where to start

Has anyone had similar problems with engine ping under load on petrol, if so any suggestions how to fix it. we have had the injectors cleaned, but then the noise returned after a week of town driving.

Hi guys am new here was just wondering about some info on a silvertop td42. Iam about to fully rebuild it and was wondering what mods to do to gain more power, i do intend to turbo it so what cam, do i bore it and go oversize etc etc. What intake to use, exuast etc. With a budget of $3-4k already owning a turbo and possibly intercooler, any info would be appreciated cheers

I have a GQ with a 4.2 with a safari turbo. My question is that I am towing an 18 foot, dual wheel caravan and it struggles up hills even without the van. Not sure if the turbo is doing the job or if these are just slugs.

Gq Patrol 4x4

I have just put a 7inch lift kit and 35s on my gq patrol and ive taken it out for a test and when i put it in 4x4 (manuel lockin hubs) my front tyres are not spinning pnly my back ones are so i have no 4x4. theres a grinding clonking sound thats sounds like it coming from the front of the car when i try driving it in 4x4. i think my diffs gone but i want to be sure

I have a GQ 7 seater wagon and want to start doing more trips away with the family. I want to ditch the dickie seat in the back to make room for some draws I have and a fridge but need 6 seats. Will the seat out of a ute (the 1 & 1/2 passenger seat) Bolt straight into my wagon and if so how does the centre seat belt mount?

Factory Diff Locker

can anyone tell me where to get my factory Diff locker repaired in Brisbane. Prior to upgrading from the factory solinoid, it was locking and staying locked after sitting for a few days, some times it would disengage when starting the car, but on a few occassions it wouldnt unlock until after driving several hundred meters and would disenage with a bang/clang. Hind sight is 20/20 I should have stopped and swapped the vacuum hoses around, but when I got around to upgrading from the factory solinoids to an MAC, I got two 4wd trips in after the upgrade before another loud bang/clang. now when I turn the diff locker on it sometimes locks but more often I hear the sound of the teeth clanging trying to lock and stay locked, I've seen and read on these forums about people who have taken out the "dog gear" and taken it to places to be welded up etc. I'm no able to take the "dog gear" out my self. and after having declined a couple of invitations to go 4wding am keen to get the diff locker fixed, so any suggestions on where to take it to in Brisbane or Ipswich surrounds in Qld would be appreicated...

front diff oil 8L

Just went out to change the front diff oil on my 1988 nissan safari

Dropped oil into a measured can and frount diff had 8.4L in it

Have had problems with this truck making funny noises from thw front would this be the problem as manual says fill up to 5.4L

Any help would be much appreciated
