    Short drives will usually kill the fuel economy on diesels, as well as cause other issues, and addons like roof racks don't help. I average around 12.5/100km with my auto, but can get lower if I drive it easy. I always try to do a reasonable distance whenever I go out, so that everything fully warms up.
