Does anyone know if I need to get a body lift in my shorty to fit a high mount turbo? I've got a mate that told me that he had too lift the body 2" to fit a turbo on his tb42 wagon. Im planning on turboing the slug but if I can get away without body lifting all the better.

Cut the bonnet and hang it out the top..

Or put a scoop / bonnet bulge to give you the extra height if needed..

I did a top mount on a gq td42 wich i would assume is the same height.

I had no body lift never had any clearance issues though it might depend on the manifold used.

Mine was an ebay special $350 maxspeeding rods.
