Hey Guys im new to this forum, though i have owned a 2001 3lt turbo diesel before! But dew to circumstances had to sell it  But now after some begging and hint dropping hahaha, the misses and i have come to an agreement to purchase another patrol thinking a 02-03 3lt! And after doing a bit of research im hoping that the motor is a lil bit more reliable in the series III? anyways looking foward to looking through all the info on here!!!!

Hi there,

Welcome to the forum and sadly nope the ZD30 in series III is not more reliable. The same fundamental issues still exist until common rail models, so if you can afford it go for later post 2007 CrD models if you insist on ZD30 option.
