N.Irishman living in Boonah, Queensland. I bought a stock 2003 3.0L Patrol with less than 200k on the clock 18 months ago and just successfully installed a catch can today after doing lots of reading and learning about NADS, (many thanks to Dronus & other contributors on here). I have suffered limp mode a few times whilst towing a fairly hefty mobile kitchen and also not realised the need to switch OD off when climbing hills under normal load but will work my though the other NADS upgrades, as well as learn the subtleties of driving an auto gear box!

After 15+ years of Jeep ownership I’ve just bought a GU4 Patrol, 2007 ZD30 CRD as it’s the only engine option in the U.K. and Nissan stopped selling the Patrol here in 2008 I believe so it’s a fairly rare car. I’ll be searching the forums and asking plenty of questions I’m sure but for now, hello! James

The vehicle runs and drives and most everything works. There is no light to tell me when the glow plugs have done their job. I fear the previous owner has done some tampering with various electrical things and maybe the glow plugs are not working at all. When it is cold, it is harder to start for sure. Runs great otherwise. I have only just purchased this older vehicle and I will get the book to study on what to expect. Found this site. I am a licensed engineer off ships in the merchant fleet. I retired here in Panama and there are several of these vehicles here. I can turn a wrench as needed but I prefer to leave things alone when they are working. I will …

Hey Guys and Gals? Just wanted to say a quick hello. As the title states, I am a noob on this forum. Also I am a noob to owning a Patrol, bought a 98 Y61 4.5L which I have now owned for two months. It has all the usual mods and I am more than happy with it so far. Using it mainly for accessing the more remote camp sites and getting into places to do a little gold prospecting. Joined this forum to learn and share knowledge. Anyways hope y'all having a blast! Dan'

Hello. New to the forum. Just purchased a 2006 Patrol. Was supposed to be for the wife but like women after buying it she decided it wasn't what she wanted and wanted to sell again. I currently run a modified Landrover Discovery. 1993 200TDi. She runs great but getting on a bit. we are looking at travelling around Oz in less than 2 yrs and think we'd be better off with the Patrol, so decided I decided we would keep that and sell the Disco. Patrol had a little rust above the windscreen, fixed today. doors have all dropped a little. Dash is bubbled and had to replaced the keys, as faulty. But don't seem to be able to get the car into pro…

My name is Rich, and like many of you I have a passion for my Patrol, I have made some good modifications and some bad modifications over the past few years. I like working on cars and do everything I can with my rig. The story of my Patrol. I have a gold 1999 gu patrol that strated life as 2.8TD, the engine was a little tired, so I decided to do a engine swop and install a ls77 (installed a bigger cam in the engine for more low down power and a bunch of other bolt on goodies). I also installed a 4.2 ledgendery gearbox and drive shaft as I still wanted a manual. I also installed a S/S patroldoctor snorkel and airbox. I have a 3" lift kit with a set of 33 mud ty…

Greetings from the beautiful Blue Mountains, I am the proud owner of a 2003 zd30di Patrol, presently at 270k, (not blown yet!) have full nads and lots of goodies installed, I worked out recently that the value of the accessories is more than the value of the car itself! So I have decided to stick with it whatever. Only problem I have had was the vp44 IP, it showed very low icv% but was still drive able, I replaced it myself and the car drives better tan ever.
