I have a 98 model nissan patrol 2.8 turbo diesel and have recently had my patrol stop. We had it hooked up to a computer and the computer told us there was 5 sensors showing up. A crankshaft sensor a camshaft sensor a mass air flow sensor a needle lift sensor and ac sensor. I'm not worried about the ac sensor and the others I have replaced all but the needle lift sensor. The car starts and revs and blows a heap of black smoke then dies down to a rough idle then cuts out. It wont idle as it cuts out after a few seconds of idling. As soon as you touch the accelerator it cuts out. I really have had a enough and dont know whats wrong with it. Please Help

Needle lift sensor is the part of the no: 1 injector. I suggest you take the car to the diesel specialist.

Not sure I follow but I'm pretty sure you will need a new injector with NLS if the internal connection is damaged.....
