Automatic transmission

Hey guys I'm having an issue with the auto in my 97 gu ti. While cold it takes a long time to select gear and I live on a hill and it won't go into top gear and freerolls down the hill. Any advicce, also any recommendations for good transmission specialists in south east Queensland  would be appreciated . Damo

Most issues with auto trannies are down to basics like oil levels or fluid contamination. When was the last time the service was done on the transmission?
