Another Backflip on global Warming.

The wheels keep falling of the global boring Bullchit.

"Two months ago, James Lovelock, the godfather of global warming, gave a startling interview to msnbc.com in which he acknowledged he had been unduly “alarmist” about climate change.

The implications were extraordinary.

Lovelock is a world-renowned scientist and environmentalist whose Gaia theory — that the Earth operates as a single, living organism — has had a profound impact on the development of global warming theory.

Unlike many “environmentalists,” who have degrees in political science, Lovelock, until his recent retirement at age 92, was a much-honoured working scientist and academic.

His inventions have been used by NASA, among many other scientific organizations.

Lovelock’s invention of the electron capture detector in 1957 first enabled scientists to measure CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) and other pollutants in the atmosphere, leading, in many ways, to the birth of the modern environmental movement.

Having observed that global temperatures since the turn of the millennium have not gone up in the way computer-based climate models predicted, Lovelock acknowledged, “the problem is we don’t know what the climate is doing. We thought we knew 20 years ago.” Now, Lovelock has given a follow-up interview to the UK’s Guardian newspaper in which he delivers more bombshells sure to anger the global green movement, which for years worshipped his Gaia theory and apocalyptic predictions that billions would die from man-made climate change by the end of this century.

Lovelock still believes anthropogenic global warming is occurring and that mankind must lower its greenhouse gas emissions, but says it’s now clear the doomsday predictions, including his own (and Al Gore’s) were incorrect.

He responds to attacks on his revised views by noting that, unlike many climate scientists who fear a loss of government funding if they admit error, as a freelance scientist, he’s never been afraid to revise his theories in the face of new evidence. Indeed, that’s how science advances."

The scientists that were so cock sure of themselves and sent the world into a panic and the biggest scam since Y2K and now doing a backflip.

Now, I only I had the email addys of all the arseholes that called me foreverthing under the sun when I said this was a crock years ago and refuted their green band wagon hysteria.

I'd sure like to rub their noses in who was right and all their highbrow carry on to anyone that didn't follow the green garbage mantra.

Always amazed me how the soloution was always new expensive products and procedures but looking at things like simple waste reduction and efficency improvement was never though of.

In 5 years time all this global save the planet green Bullchit will be seen for nothing more than the scam and crock of chit it's been all along.

I was looking on you tube tonight at hotrds etc and got onto the paint work.

I was stunned to see that even car paint companies are onto the the racket with one very well known custome paint company having a line of " Enviro" paints which are water not spirit based.

Who the Fk would have thought that people in the custom car circle would have thought the green enviro bandwagon would have had appeal to their clients? May be it dosen't which I suspect for the most part but the fact a compny in that market would have even felt the need to develop a product to tie it into the green crap astounded me.

Tradie mate of mine has got onto the green bandwagon.

HE points out his company's " Enviromental Awareness" and uses that as an excuse to re-use materials people would have chit a kidney if he even mentioned it a few years ago.

Uses materials he pulled out of one job to put into another with a much cheaper clean than buying new would cost and charges more because the install generally takes longer. Money saved and extra made on the same job. Perfect!

People feel all nice and warm and Fuzzy they are doing something to save the planet even though 95% of them will misuse the product and in be highly detrimental to all the causes they would champion if asked.
