Well, indeed I didn't know I could engage 4WD mode at 80 km/h if I had my hubs locked in manually. Can someone try it for me ..... I'm not that brave.

I've engaged 4wd on the fly at up to about 70kph, you have to make sure your back wheels aren't "spinning" as in running at a different speed to your front, i just let off the accelrator pedal a second before i engage to let everything even up. I also make sure i'm going in a straight line.

And with no clutch, that surprised me to..

I wonder what the old GQ's on the fly speeds are..

Mine's an 89 GQ

You must make sure your hubs are locked in though.
