Hi all, just signed up after reading some very helpful threads about rock sliders. Bought a 1999 gu 4500 last weekend, dinged the door sill and bent the alloy sidesteps this weekend! Didn't buy it to look good tho... So far all's good.

welcome mate, wow didn't take you long to put your mark on it! Ha Ha   I made my own sliders and boy have they taken a beating and prevented a lot of damage! If your keen and can weld this is the best and cheapest option IMO anyway.

Welcome mate. Yea decent guarding is a must imo if your looking at decent off roading. How the stock attaches to the sill is asking for problems.
