Nz they come in as Jap import, hence front of gaurd mirror, I know ours are jap import aswell but made for import to australia. In the early 80's living in NZ when the jap imports started eg: Second hand from Japan and all had front mirror on gaurds, after a year or so there was alot of complaints when at 30-40 thousand K's clutches, engines etc, were failing. Was put down to coming from large cities over there the wear on them was mainly due to hours of running EG: most of there life stuck in traffic.they became very un-popular.

Above post is for generally all cars/makes from Japan. But how sexy is the GU Shorty, I Like!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :)

Edited by GQ Beast

i'd love a shorty GU, but getting them over the pits here is meant to be next to impossible. besides, i'm not sure i'd go to the bother for a grenade-era 3.0.

Just go a duramax the power to weight ratio would be sweet

Nissan Australia would sell heaps of gu shorties if they did decide to. I'd definitely want one.

There is wanting one and then there is willing to pay for one. If Nissan bring them into Aus, I reckon you'ld be looking at a pretty decent price tag as I don't think they make them in right hand drive anymore.

The one in auckland's a 2002 what series is that? My brothers over there and has import/export licence, mainly imports chevy and ford parts/motors from US, Might have to get him looking. Sorry its in Napier.

2002 is a GUII I think. If it has the clear plastic lenses (no relfective ripples on the lens) and round(ish) indicators and parker lights on the head lights and altezza style tail lights it is a GUIII, it it doesn't and has headlights like the one above, it is a GUI (RD28) or GUII (ZD30)
