May 28, 201213 yr comment_3892 Check out this guy and how fast he operates on a bandsaw. May take varing amounts of time depending on your connection, but very worth the wait! I cant tell you what he produces but I guarantee you will be just as amazed as I was.bandsaw_magic.wmv Edited May 28, 201213 yr by GU3Tray Report

May 28, 201213 yr comment_3910 After my initial amazement at things like this, the next thought is how the hell did they figure it out in the first place and how many endless hours and stuff ups did it take to learn how to do it that well. The guy must have gone through a forest of wood practiceing that. Report
May 28, 201213 yr comment_3915 clever. best I can do is pens ... without a bandsaw. Thanks GU3 Report
May 28, 201213 yr comment_3923 OK, I couldn't ( and still can't ) see the pattern on the wood. Still damn clever though. Report

Cheers Ray This reminds me of my father, who, in a moment of stupidity pushed a block of wood through a circular bench saw. Thus becoming the first person in the world to have a thumb reattached. (what a dubious claim to fame) LOL Report

(what a dubious claim to fame) LOL Bah! I lost a finger at 18 months old and they couldn't re- attach it then. Been a pretty good source of amusement though. From pretending to pick my nose with my entire finger stuck up there with any new teacher at school to a bit of well placed tomato sauce at BBQ's and the right sort of yelling, I guess I have made the most of it. Funniest and sometimes scary thing of all is when people you have known often for years, suddenly spot the space on your hand where a finger should be and freak out. I was quite a drawback when I wanted to learn to play the keyboard as a kid oblivious to the flaw in that plan being so used to only having 9 fingers and never really seeing any draw back till then. Also took the tutor several lessons to figure out why I was so out of whack on the melody but could nail the chords every time. Report
