Has anyone modified the automatic aerial on their patrols so it can be retracted when off road? My Ti aerial has 2 positions: fully extended or half-mast. Other than turning off the stereo completely, I cant see a way to fully retract the aerial. Was hoping the wiring could be modified so the half-mast position can become a fully retracted position.

I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be that hard as the aerial retracts when cd mode is selected too so it is just a matter of measuring what signals go where and than replicating the results via external switch.

I've now bent mine again so that's it. I'm replacing it with a flexible whip. Will do a thread when it happens

It can be done with a change over relay. You would need to modify the wiring at the that electric aerial.
