Cuppatea Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Hi all, I did a search, not much on this yet. Anyone have any suggestions or clever ideas for a replacement main battery on my 1999 GU diesel 4.2? I bought it with what looks like a "nothing special branded" 600CCA battery from Tyrepower. Century comes up with a N70ZZL4WD for my model - around $200+ I don't have a second battery, don't really need one yet so would like something first class if you know what I mean. Any comments appreciated, otherwise I'll wonder around town looking for something that fits... Cheers
Ray! Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Century batteries have always been very reliable and I'd look at the Overlander version, which is supposed to be more durable. Cheers Ray
BigGQWesty Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 (edited) And try and get the biggest battery to fit the tray.. With a high crank amperage.. I have a 660 CCA 14.8AH battery in my GQ.. Edited June 16, 2012 by BigGQWesty
Cuppatea Posted June 16, 2012 Author Report Posted June 16, 2012 Thanks, looks like I was on the right track then! N70ZZL4WD is the overlander model and 760CCA. I'll look for a good price. Cheers BigGQWesty 1
