  1. There is a small piece of black electrical tape over it at the moment
  2. Interesting. I have T'd in my HE to the heater circuit not realising there was no tap/valve for the heater (99 GU). That's a pain, I can't use a tap to stop water going through the HE anymore if I plump it all inline.
  3. Great idea that. I will hunt down the connector/wire to 13 on the controller. Thanks very much!
  4. Hi guys, Anyone know enough about the sub tank system on the GU so I can get rid of the darn instrument cluster LED warning? I've removed the transfer pump (because I don't need it) and it now has illuminated. Obviously it's smart enough to know it's gone. Will disconnecting the controller unit inside the centre console going to work? Any better ideas? Cheers
  5. I'll also be looking into this for similar reasons. Finding an affordable 200PSI water pump has got me looking for alternative methods. I'd rather use/try WI rather than IC as I need the de-coking primarily. Lower intake temps are a bonus.
  6. I'm interested in this control valve your talking about. What's it do and are they something I would expect to have to replace one day? Can I chuck it?
  7. The filter housing/head has a one way or non-return. It shouldn't allow the fuel to run back to the tank.

  9. GPSTI, if your even half right in what you just said Linux would only be a footnote in computing history. Fortunately for all it still exists, is installed in all corners of this planet and flies the flag for freedom. It's really a shame this thread will turn into the same old debate. So tiring . I'll stick to reading Patrol stuff I think.

  12. As a full time Linux user since 2004 I can recommend all content Windows and Mac users to stay away from Linux and enjoy the great outdoors. Amen.
  13. I used to maintain a dial up control system for an old man back in the mid 90s. The system used a pump and mini hydro setup down around the snowys. Pump the water up hill at night, generate during the day.
  14. My Patrol looked much the same last Sunday. Filled the trailer and then moved onto the car. Thinking of getting a cargo barrier to protect the baby and us from objects from the back. If anyone has one for sale PM me.
  15. $225 yes they are. There is some stock at my local SCA. Thanks for that.

  17. Thanks, looks like I was on the right track then! N70ZZL4WD is the overlander model and 760CCA. I'll look for a good price. Cheers
  18. Hi all, I did a search, not much on this yet. Anyone have any suggestions or clever ideas for a replacement main battery on my 1999 GU diesel 4.2? I bought it with what looks like a "nothing special branded" 600CCA battery from Tyrepower. Century comes up with a N70ZZL4WD for my model - around $200+ I don't have a second battery, don't really need one yet so would like something first class if you know what I mean. Any comments appreciated, otherwise I'll wonder around town looking for something that fits... Cheers
  19. Ok now im with you. They unlock themselves. Thats pretty much what I said. Not sure how they will get damaged. I dont remember reading about anyone damaging the auto hubs by not locking them in.
