Just wondering if anyone has any contacts in sydney that can do a rear quarter chop on my gq?

Can you have a go yourself mate? just need to tape it off nice and straight, get a 4inch angle grinder and a decent slitting disc, cut it about 20mm lower than you want it for the first go, then once you have a feel for cutting it, go easy and cut along your line/tape.

There are a few no weld jobs aswell.. the hardest part is making the fill in pannels, but template it and you should be good Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories

No weld - pop riveting? Crimping?

Can't 100% remember, Fold your 1/4 edges under to make a flat surface, and yea I think it was rivets. Lots of sicafkex to Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories

You can buy laser cut in fill plates on eBay for like $30 delivered.

I done my own quarter chop only threw in a rough in fill. And now I have my rear bar I gotta cut it up higher as it just fouls, just something to consider.

So given the area is being sealed off, do people clean up any rust up in there before they seal? Is there any chance water could get in?

Not if sealed properly. Most rust is in the bottom of the 1/4 where mud and crap sits. So by doing the chop your removing it all anyway.. A good coating of lanolin oil inside once done will help prevent future rust to.. Kallen Westbrook Owner of Westy's Accessories
