May 3, 201213 yr comment_481 Alright to start building the database. Whats the biggest tyres you can run on a stock GU Report
May 4, 201213 yr comment_601 Yeah mate kinda by the time i drove 8ks they were hanging of I could have cut them but I'm waiting to get my lift than I will put them back on Report
May 4, 201213 yr comment_624 Sweet - Im thinking of selling my quite new set of 4 Cooper AT's and upgrading to the 33" STMAXX that everyone is raving about. The Cooper AT's are fantastic on road and in the wet, but ground clearance in the bush will make a difference.. Plus, it will look shit hot. Report
May 4, 201213 yr comment_646 Depending where you go the coopers don't like heat and tend to delaminate - nothing but praise for bfg or even maxxis as a cheaper option Straight with BALLS!!!! Report
May 4, 201213 yr comment_708 iv had 35's on a stock GUIV, and they are the smallest in terms of tyre clearance of all the GU's. 2inch lift was perfect for the road and 35's, so ill say 33's are the go. First pic is no lift, 2nd is 2inch. Report
May 5, 201213 yr comment_717 That pic without the lift is funny... Looks a little close. Looks awsome with the lift. I think 33's would please the wife more than 35's. Report
May 5, 201213 yr Author comment_753 I reckon they would as my 33s( close enough to) on full lock and a bit of flex( reversing out of driveway) do. Report
May 5, 201213 yr comment_779 Do your 35s scrub out with the 2 inch lift? No. . . . but you have to space the front diff forward with radius arm spacers, remove front mudflaps, and cut a bit of plastic on the inside of your flare, but nothing cosmetically damaged, nor structural. the 35's fit like a bum in a bucket on a 2inch lift. The radius arm spacer. The bit that contacts on 3/4 lock after the mudflap is removed Wheels straight plenty of clearance. Just cut that little useless flap off the flare inside the colord' bit of your flare. Report
May 28, 201213 yr comment_3897 I'm thinking of going down this road on a ute! Are the photos of rubbing on front or back? I have a series three so probably not the same. How wide are they 11.5/12.5/13.5. Seriously doubt you have 10.5. Report
May 28, 201213 yr comment_3929 Only fouling is on the front. If you have a series 3 even better. Just chuck a 20mm radius arm spacer in with your 2in lift. And running 35's will be sweet, I had 35x12.5's on the guiv. And they were BFG's so they are a fat 12.5 Report
May 28, 201213 yr comment_3930 Ive had 35s in muddies and ats on my gu3 with a 2" lift, the only spot they hit was up under the inside rear guard under full compression and the (what ever that long bloody arm is called that runs to the front diff housing) on full lock. One set are nissan offset and ones toyota, and one clips the front and the other the rear, so with the right offset front and rear neither would scrub (in my case). Christ, i nearly lost myself then!
