Going of the gps( 2 of) I'm spot on 10% out running the 285s.
I took the rack off for the trip and I've got the tyres at 40psi.
Its been bloody cold ( for a queenslander ) so I'm reckon that would be helping aswell.
Start of the trip Brisbane to Glen Innes was 15.1 ltrs per 100 and its slowly gotten better.
Trying to fill up at regular intervals to keep an eye on it.

I'm 1/2 way through our trip towing the van. 1000kms at 14.52 ltr average. No flat road so I'm happy with that. Was expecting around 17.

4.2s are for people with no sense of adventure..

Every day with a 3ltr is a big adrenaline rush, every noise rattle boost spike or fall really gets that heart a pounding.

It's no good just disposing of the dog, she'll just get upset and get another, meaning that you will suffer the same fate for the rest of your days together.
What you really need to do is start a campaign to cause her to hate the dog with such passion that you will be the one who looks to be doing the only compassionate thing by taking it to the vet for sleepy time.

The dog has to start to become unbearable, so what does she hold dear?
Time for a chewed and shredded wedding photo album, or maybe dog turd diarrhea on the doona or the couch or both!!!
The options are endless, but don't let up until she is begging you to get rid of the damn thing, you owe it to husbands everywhere to win this one!

This is a patrol forum first and foremost.

As Ive said before in the forum rules, there is NO POINT trying to convince each other of your oposing views.

Im going to close the political section - This place is for patrol technical discussion and any thing off topic that leads to arguements is simply diltuting the good knowledge that this place contains.

I wasn't really sure if this was said in jest but given the other stabs you have taken elsewhere, I'm guessing not.

As a prime scrapper on the other site, I have made a resoloution not to bring the same chit here. I have let bygones be by gones and will let any jibes go by for the sake of the peace here.
So far the flavor is very friendly and pleasant with most of us having more than one common interest in being here.
If I can turn a new leaf, I suggest you can as well.

If you want to have a go, I suggest you confine that to the political crappery section and keep the rest of the place in the good spirited tone that has been the theme so far. Others may choose to spar with you, they may not but don't try and incite reactions for the hell of it.

If you have come here to stir things up, please don't, go back to the other place for that.

I don't have any anamosity towards Patrol4x4, but perhaps I'm a little jaded with it all and a break is as good as a holiday. When I couldn't post and then log in, coming here and starting afresh was sort of a good feeling and I'm happy to keep it up. That's not to say I won't ever post in Patrol4x4, but I'm over the pointless debates and I stopped responding to the political crap even before the forum got wobbly. My bad for even starting such a post here; I knew immediately after I did that it wasn't worth doing and that's why I want it deleted. All it's done is attract individuals from over yonder who seem have no other purpose or contribution to the forum but politics.

OK, So im sick of having cigerette plug double adapters, cables going everywhere, phones falling out of the overhead thing and - not being able to charge my Samsung tablet while its running unless its plugged into a 240 inverter socket.

The problem comes from the fact that a normal USB socket can only supply 500ma. if you are lucky and can join 2 together (or have a high power USB port) you can get 1A. Tablets need around 2 A to charge and run at the same time.

I had a 1A usb plug which was fine for my phone, but not the tablet.. Increasing the charge supply might also speed up the charge time for phones, cameras etc.

These just arrived on my desk from the states, my plan is to remove them from their cases and mount them in small jaycar boxes, and then around the car, just running 12V to each.

They have 2 ports - one is 1A the other is 2.1A
