Great website there Foo.

Found it recently and it totally saved my trip south, I was ready to give up until I found it. HIGHLY reccommended

If camps 6 could be posted up i would do it, plenty of rippers in there too!

Bought that book as its so informative even though some of the info regarding fires at least isn't always correct...

Camps 6 is the go. It's a book. When your on the side of a track, you can open it up and have a look and battery won't go flat. Pretty reliable. Have not had any false info yet.

There's also another book like camps 6 with pics, i think bout half the $ of the camps 6

Here's a link to it

Most of your state auto assoc has these type of books

for those that have an iphone, there is an app called 'wikicamps'. it is a user based camp site/caravan park app that users can add any special camp ground, its very similiar to camps 6 book and ozcamps, it costs 99c.

Thanks SA_on_Patrol, I bought the app as well. Must be going well as the price has doubled! Gotta love apps though - $1.99 :)

By the look of the update history, the publishers of one of the books has probably heavied the author to remove the ability to enter GPS coordinates manually. Wouldn't take much otherwise for someone to simply transcribe the whole of Camps or similar books into the database. Now to include coordinates you have to actually be at the spot you're describing.
