But I can't really see it taking off.. I think the idea is that you can take it anywhere and effectively have your own PC wherever you go, as long as you can plug it into a screen, TV or whatever. This is one of those things where people start to create stuff that it can be used for, rather than having an end purpose outright. Cheers Ray Report

June 9, 201213 yr Author comment_4640 You'd have to work out whether it's powerful enough to properly run an Android navigation program. It has a micro-SD card slot, so you certainly have enough memory for maps. The only thing you'd really have to work out is running the screen. You can get independent LCD screens that run off a USB connection, so it's quite possible to do a fair bit with such a device. Cheers Ray Report

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD I have this ambivalence towards Google products like I do towards Apple; I'd rather own none of them. I'm more than happy with my Gigabyte Windows 7 tablet and if I didn't have that, I'd probably wait for the upcoming Microsoft Surface tablet. Also, I don't really see the need for a 7" tablet, as that's no bigger than the screen on my head unit. Cheers Ray Report

July 2, 201213 yr comment_5292 I think a raspberry pi and a nice high quality HDMI touchscreen and some tricky software would make an awsome car stereo. Currently there are some software front ends for Windows based PC's - but these are impracticle for car use, to big and clunky. Somthing needs to be built from the ground up on hardware like this.
