  1. He won't be hard to find. He will either be on a bike forum garnering sympathy or the mail that bolts anywhere to the side next time he sees you. Probably while trying to rub bullbar marks out of his ribs. Tipsy-tap
  2. I would like to question your thinking. Lightning jumps quite a distance to get to the ground. The voltage is quite high to overcome the air gap, which is an insulator. What is the thickest material ever used in a tent, and theoretically speaking, how many volts will this be good to insulate you from? You would be better off using some practical methods of avoiding lightning. ie don't camp right on the top of hills or higher than your surrounds. Carry a portable lightning rod stake for camp? BTW I like the look of the jet tent, and will be buying that when rich enough. I have heard it packs smaller than the oztent. Tipsy-tap
  3. What does the latest version give us?
  4. After reading through this thread I'm feeling brave enough to try waste veg oil at around 60%. Start small and ramp up upon success. I have a gu 2.8. I have noted his order of planning. Still mentally piecing it together. Hope to get away with no spillage, and keep the kids out. What do pig farmers use it for? Spread over the feed? Post up some pics of the goop the magnets catch. Used to have an extra oil filter on a 4cyl car. The filter took what looked to be a toilet roll without a centre. When you changed the filter visible metal particles could be seen on the filter material. Tipsy-tap
  5. Thanks for the pics. Still trying to mentally work out how I will set all this up. What do people normally do for containers? The pics have some ones looking like they were bought for the purpose. Do people use the ones the oil came in? Glort, you mentioned you had 2000l and more at one point. Did you have 100x 20l drums in the backyard? 2000l tank? 200 drums? I get the impression 200l drums are left open for ease of inspecting the oil? Isn't it impractical? Trying to work out how I will keep young children out of the mix! Tipsy-tap
  6. Not boring us at all. In fact I'm thinking of giving it a try in the gu2.8 I'm sure I will have some questions shortly. Tipsy-tap
