EDIT, iv thought of a way to explain it. Say you had a line in your sig "need ice for camping? PM me. . . mates rates" and you commented in a thread on 6.5chev conversions about your experience with brunswick etcetc everyone reads it. . . no problem. Now say you participate in that same thread but instead of having info about your 6.5chev in your comment, you simply had it in your signature (like you do) and post that you could sell the OP ice at awesome rates, . . . everyone is like wtf? If i was a mod, and you posted that comment in that thread, i would simply delete it as spam, and send you a pm asking you not to do it again. Same info typed, same info read. . . . . it would come down to intent i'd say.

I think it's ok if you are selling a set of tyres..... Chuck up a single line in your sig. I think it's ok if you have found a place selling arb gear at half price, or a joint that has great service..... I want to hear about it! Same goes for a build thread, I get asked all the time where/how much I pay for bits, at that point I'm happy to give a great business a plug.... But if that same business came on here and randomly started posting up for sale threads or hijacking threads to say, I can sell you this..... Etc. Uncool. Promotion of business is different from giving a business a good report or saying where/how much you got stuff for.

Me to actually. Very cheap shock, and a little jiggly if I'm critical(high speed dampening) but for half the price of ome you can't go wrong. I would pay the extra and buy ome, but I had ironman foam cells for a year in my guiv. Like I say, impressive.

Yes they do, iv had kings I bought from sonny, and would buy again happily, but they are valved' better by Allan cuthill if that's who you are talking about, I took mine to him to get revalved and shimmed after I got them from the states, it actually isn't much cheaper getting them direct by the time you stuff around trying to get them to work properly, I'm just going to get them from Allan this time. I got a quote yesterday for new kings. I have personally watched him strip/build these shocks.

Got quotes today for $20,000 of upgrades. -it will be sweet. should be ready for sale within 3-4months, will be getting full king smoothies, lockers, all custom arms, laminated diffs, td05 turbocharger, swafftec pump, walkers/allieds and 37x12.5/17 treps, custom sliders, PWR intercooler/radiator, navara steering wheel, piston upgrade, exhaust, etcetc. Asking price around mid 30's. build will be documented exclusive here.

yeah, its not likely to be fixed imo. . . i spent half the day reading yesterday, hacking it and taking it off terry is easy'ish, but quite illegal. and i dont think anything has changed his mind about letting it go. so it wont happen. forum software is 3years old! Lets pull together and make a go of it here fellas. ill put my name down as a stay, if the other forum goes down. . . . . lets save what we need to and get on with it.

ill donate happily on one condition(ill pay out both of your widgets). . . . . if you have a satisfying answer to these 2 questions. 1: will you share ownership of this forum with somebody for the sake of the same not happening here as it did on the old forum. 2: will you appoint mods/admins to assist with the site. Basically i want a little evidence the time/money we as members will now contribute to making this forum awesome will be preserved for our use. There is no point me or anyone else sitting down and writing articles/uploading pics on king suspension, ARB airlocker installation, simex/maxxis tyres, TD42's, NADS, and a host of other subjects if its all going to go to the craphouse when you get bored or get run over by a bus etc. i put over 5,000 posts onto the old forum. . . . admittedly a fair whack of it was banter/crap, but maybe 500 of those posts were informative and useful to at least a few people. Thats years of working on patrols. . . doing instructions for people, taking pics of things, etc, iv sent over 400 PM's in reply to people asking me stuff about what patrol to buy, valuations, how to do this/that, and now look at it. . . . . im not being an asshole, iv just have a gutfull at the moment. and its not just my time/money/experience that has been lost, how about guys like Whitie, chaz, Sim79, OLDmav, toughdiesels, etc etc. I have NOTHING against you. . . as i dont know you from a bar of soap, except that your response/ideas seem, reasonable from what iv read. however if you alone are going to control this forum ill be keeping my money. If there is one thing we have learned the hard way, its that this sort of thing cannot be a one-man-show.

Yeah, im getting over it. . . and iv kept my opinions to myself in this area. Start saving whatever valuable data you think should be transferred to this forum, all your contacts, photo's etc, copy everything you want to keep. . . . i think the forum is going down the tube. any documents. . . i see that a few "bibles" have made it across. . . . how about a few other stickies over there, there is a lot of data we should try to save.
