Hey guys, recently stumbled upon this glorious (or not so glorious) sight out on a mates farm: It is, or was, a 1996 TB42e auto ST that was in excellent condition before it slide down the dam bank and was laid on it's side. It has a 3" lift (though someone has nicked the rear shocks - it'll be getting new ones anyway), and adjustable panhards from a rear which is a little bonus After a few choice words, and a lot of work we managed to get it ready for the tow truck to pick it up. After we got it home, I gave it a pretty decent wash, and set to work removing the barra from the falcon. It's just your standard BA barra with 160,000kms. Best b…

Hey guys new to the group my names jim new to owning a patrol and so far love it heres my gu 2002 it was originally a zd 30 but has been converted to a td42 silvertop running a safari/luxens turbo setup currently running 12psi can anyone recommend a reliable tmic setup that wont break the bank will a stock gu td42 intercooler work? Well.. Unfortunately all great things come to an end and the gq is being sold as we have bought a GU. Scored this ripper of a buy just before new years. It's an 08 ST zd30 crd and only had 63***K's on it. Was an ex cfa car from baccasmarsh. Anyway imo a bargin as we got it for $25000 which is too cheap to start with but it come with the following. Steel winch bar 2" lift Outback draws and overhead console Dual battery setup And a gmv upgrade to 3.5T.. this includes a braced rear diff and tower braces.. Find of the century I think.. I was recently was told by a mobile mechanic to install an erg blocking plate on my patrol, Im planning on driving around australia in the coming months in the patrol, i have read in some forums it can be a bad thing for the turbo as it can cause the turbo to get up to 500+ degrees, i dont want to stuff up the turbo while im in the middle of nowhere, what are peoples thoughts on this, the mechanic says the turbo kicks in sooner and it gets more power out of the engine and it becomes 25% more fuel effcient, any thoughts would be handy to know. thanks

Hi guys, just wondering if any one could help. It could be nothing. I just put a deposit down on a used patrol, 2012 zd30 from a car yard in Hornsby. To my concern in the roof gutter rails on both sides it has a hard gooy looking stuff same colour as car down them. I'm not to sure if this is normal. I just went to my local nissan dealer and looked in their yard at a brand new patrol and down the roof gutter rails it was different. It just had painted metal with like little spot weld dimples down both sides. Any help appreciated. I don't pay and pick up car until Saturday. Thanks Steve.

To start it off its was an 1989 wagon now living life as a dual cab, TB42 carby (how much i hate the carb lol) 5 speed manual. I bought the rig as a dual cab and since then its taking on alot of time and money as it was a BIG UGLY PIECE OF SH|T that i payed way to much for (well thats what i get for buying sight unseen) moving along as how everything was stuffed i spent 6 weeks in the shed doing rust repairs, rebuilding diffs, swapping interior and fixing many oil leaks. Hey guys. Here is my newest addition that I have been building up since I got it about 2 months ago. It's a 2009 GU DX ex Telstra bought it with 118,000kms stock as a rock. I plan on building it into a capable tourer with the likes of Fraser Island on the cards for next year and cape York to come I needed something reliable. I paid 32k for this 2008 ex telstra ute with 102000km on the clock. It came with the winch, bar, spotties, dual batterys, canopy,wiring, inside lights, shelves (hot water system was missing). I have since fitted all the other bits you see in the pics.] The exhaust is legal (if you live in uzbekistan)

Ok I got a y61 Diesel, Manual, GU patrol wagon 2013 - ZD3.0? Can only find manuals up to 2011 (2005-2011 Haynes) Has there been any changes in the vehicle since then which this/these manuals won't have? When looking for info can I use 2008/09/10 etc stuff? Also what series is the 2013? And is it a 1Hzt etc. Just looking around and so many variants. I know I brought the best real 4x4 - Nissan Patrol but that's it. I have owned a 2008 CRD ZD30 Patrol for about 14 months and have been following your posts on NADS etc. Have partially blocked EGR with a home made blank (1.2mm Zinc anneal steel plate) with a 9mm hole to stop any code errors. The EGR on the 2008 troll has a cooler (Water/Coolant Jacket) pre egr valve I have put the blank between the flanges post cooler - pre egr valve. After doing the partial egr block i turned the vnt adjustment screw down about a third of a turn. At this stage no boost guage fitted and adjusted the vnt just in case i introduced higher boost pressures.
