This forum is really looking the goods with the extra sub forums and stuff. HOWEVER, I have a suggestion thus far to see it become even better. I don't understand why General Patrol Discussion contains States, the states should be under a General Discussion that doesn't relate to Patrols. I see this becoming annoying when following posts. People can post up about issues that relate to GQ/GU issues in one state, and others that never check that state sub forum won't know its there. I'm just wondering if it is the smartest thing to do. Otherwise, I'll continue to troll, contribute and help. Cheers!

I started this place as a Patrol Technical Discussion forum - *Anything* that diverts attention from that is not welcome here. To this effect I have completly removed the Political Crappery Section. Anyone posting anything political anywhere here now will find there posts deleted.

every time i come on here, regardless of what computer i use.. it always logs me off? even tho i click remember me? is that a forum issue or something else? ive checked all my settings on the laptops and they are all good. only happens on this site, none of the others that i am on. cheers, OSH

I’ve not been involved with running an online forum for some years - Way back in the days of early phpBB v2. A lot has changed - This forum runs the latest version of Invision Board and seems to have a lot of new features and a heck of a lot of polish. If there are features you guys know about that are not currently enabled - Let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.

Invision are soon to release a new version of IP.Board (the software this place runs on) that has its own dedicated iPhone app. This is in addition to the already excellent mobile compatability that this forum has. (Try browsing to www.mypatrol4x4.com on your iPhone or Android phone - You wont be dissapointed).

Here is a nice bit of info about a not so well known forum feature... When viewing the "View New Content" section, if you click on the blue dot on the left of the topic, it will take you to the last read post rather than the top of the first page..

I would like the members to vote - At the moment we have State based SubCategories in the General Technical Section. Some members have expressed this is a bad idea and that if the State based SubCategories should be anywhere its in the General Section. What say you?

I have added a Chat feature to the forum today - Allowing live discussions between members. This is only a trial - It will allow a max of 5 users to chat at anyone time. Let me know what you think.

Tonight I installed the latest security patch as supplied by InvisionBoard. This security update fixes the following issue: A XSS (Cross Site Scripting) attack is possible under specific circumstances when editing a post another member has made.

Hey there admin. doing a great job with the forum so far, it's good to see. I'm wondering if the time in your setup is set incorrectly as when I'm viewing on tapatalk the times people posted seems to be a few hours out, if that makes cents. Shane

Today I upgraded the forum to I.P Board 3.3. Improved Mobile support (in addition to tapatalk). Would love to know what the site now looks like in a browser on Android.

Today Invision Power released a native iOS application for IP Board (the software that makes this place tick) Search for IPS in the app store to download today! Is it as good as tapatalk? Well, I just tried it out and I would have to say at this stage no. But it will get better and better as this is the first release.
