What are people using ?? Iv'e allways used nissan's, am i getting ripped off?? Is it just normal eg: Nulon etc. with a nissan sticker??

As long as you use ethylene glycol based coolant you can use any. Avoid the latest fancy mixes. Nissan coolant is just plain ethylene glycol and water mix.

Ive always used tectaloy 90.green stuff.$20. was at a radiator place once and they told me not to use it. Got second and third opinion for a few other shops (natrad included)

And they suggested tectaloy 90 is more than sufficent.

All i know is i used some red stuff this time ment for high loaded engines or some crap (thought it would been a good idea for a 4b) and i dont like, it as it seems to get hotter quicker and stay at high temps longer then it used to with the green stuff.

X2 on tectalloy 90. Great stuff keeps the temp gauge just below half.

I've been told not to mix red and green. not good for some reason, don't know why. perhaps you need a flush?

I use the pink stuff in everything. Is it Tectalloy 90? Hmm dunno.

I'm with GT using tectaloy 90.. But it's a lot cheaper to get the concentrate and mix it yourself.. Just filter your water threw a fine paint filter (my local painter just gives me a couple).

It's never looked like overheating even while towing a tamping trailer across the hay plains in 50 degree summers.. And no corrosion on the alloy parts..

But don't mix the red and green.. It doesn't mix and can cause gasket and alloy damage..

I have always used the Castrol Concerntrate that comes in the Little white Tins.

Dunno if it's The best or the worst but I have not had a coolant related failure in 25 years so I take it the stuff is up to the job.

I think its about $8 a can so cheap enough.
