Nissan Patrol Y62 (2013–present)

Hello everyone. I recently bought a 2011 Nissan Patrol Y62. However, when I’m driving fast on a straight road and take my foot off the accelerator, the 4H and 4LO lights on the dashboard start flashing alternately, and there is a terrible noise coming from underneath the vehicle. Then, as soon as I press the accelerator again, the warning disappears and everything goes back to normal. Of course, I already had a computer diagnostic check done, but no errors are showing up and it says everything is normal. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? How did you fix it? Please help.

We bought a 2013 y62 (not registered until 2015) last year. Terrific car. Use it for towing our horsefloat and caravan. Not likely to sell but we would like to install a Android Carplay head unit. Will the car camera on the Nissan head unit still work? We bought a Android Carplay unit from AutoBahn for the old 1998 Gu and it worked perfectly. Autobahn and Supercheap are still our go to places in Perth. Are those units ok?

Looking to purchase a used y62 series 3, 4 or 5. Is there anything that I should be keeping in mind or looking out for when inspecting? Are there any mechanical/engine differences in models/years and any to avoid (for example how they fixed the timing chain issue in 2013). Also I’m looking to keep this one for the next 10 years and get it to over 300,000kms. Is this a realistic goal? Thanks guys.

I am based in Qatar and bought a 0 mileage / brand new Patrol in Nov-2023. I'm not an off-roadie, so haven't driven the car on anywhere else than city roads that are absolutely free of pot-holes. I am also not a rough driver and like it smooth. The car has done 27800 kms so far. Hi All Might be a little premature, but I've noticed some discussion of wheel hub retrofit hybrid systems on smaller vehicles. Looks impressive, no significant disruption to vehicle, low cost. Orbis, REVR, et al Has anyone had experience with these with Y62? Cheers

Hello all, I am facing an issue with my Patrol Y62 for the last few weeks. Not only is it frustrating but it is also dangerous as the shuts down completely while driving without warning. I will explain below. I took it to my mechanic but the only issue came on the OBD scanner was of a sensor for 4x4. This was replaced but the issue still exists. There is no mechanical issue with 4x4 as we tested it. When the car shuts off, the engine, battery, oil check lights, etc. come on like when starting the car (pic attached). Dear All, I drove a Y62 2010 model. Few months back while driving in 100-120 kmph with cruise control ON, suddenly the car had a jerking and immediately cruise control turned OFF. And first indication came on the display is of traction control. Within 2 mins all the other check lights turned ON and immediately car dropped the power and stopped in the middle of the road. I restarted the car and it started running normal. Again after 15-20 mins same issue came. there was a knocking from the differential side and gear was not moving from the 3rd. Hi all, I have just bought an Hermosa Blue with tan interior 2022 Y62. I love it BUT..... what's with the dash?!! It's positively archaic. No digital speed and my speedo is at least 6 kms out. I feel like I am using DOS again!! Has anyone installed a HUD or upgraded the dash??? Would love to hear the views of others.....

Hey Guys,I started going to the desert a lot more and I am planning to upgrade my shocks to the 9-way adjustable ones from tough dog..Has anyone used them and have any thoughts or comments on them? and also which shock settings did you use for the types of terrain you guys go on...fyi, I 90% of the time go to the desert 'sand dunes'.Thank you

Hi guys, my patrol will be arriving in the next month or so and some help to workout which which bar i go with. I have narrowed it down to the 3 listed above and as hoping to get some feedback from forum members who have any of the bars installed. Strength wise, is there much difference between the 3 loop opp lock bar over the other 2? For those that have the ol bar installed are you happy with overall build quality?
