Went down the commando (coffs) chicken track in reverse. No fn way was I going up the real track in my rig... Panel damage and embarrassment would have resulted. I did damage drivers side front wheel arch flare. :-(

Garage, Chat and Classifieds are now all enabled and functional. Update to 3.4 series of IP Board is now complete.

Right O - I have reenabled the Chat feature, But the Garage feature will be staying disabled for a while till an update comes out thats compatible with the new version of IP Board 3.4.0.

Just upgrded the board to IP Board 3.4.0 - There is still some cleaning upto do, and once I finish I will reenable the addons like the garage and chat etc.

Put the new cf25 waeco in the back after soldering a longer cable and Anderson plug to it.

Got gas struts fitted to the Kaymar dual wheel carrier rear bar and got a rear door extn bracket fitted.

Got my 4.2 serviced today (Manuel) and I asked them to empty the gear box oil and replace with supplied vmx80 as I think it will help with the notchy gearbox, but when I got the car back I was told they couldn't get the plug out. They say they swung off a 6ft bar and it still wouldn't budge. They tried heat to.. No go. Basically they gave up and said to take it to Nissan. :-( Anyone else have this happen?

Can you post pics of the wiring to the socket for the hand controller? (and where did you mount it?) Mine is inside the bullbar, which is good for protection, but can be a pain to get at - Im thinking a rewire is in order :-)

I'm wanting to get the 2005 tdi tuned - doubt its ever had one before.. But I don't want to take it to a retard. Does anyone have suggestions for someone who knows what they are doing?

Slightly embarrassing, but I checked the oil in my 4.2 and as I pulled the dipstick out I let it touch the + terminal. Sparks and smoke. It only lasted a split second but the damage is done. The bloody dipstick had a burn nearly all the way through and only a few strands of the wire remained intact and whatever material is in the core of the dipstick was broken. I couldn't risk re inserting it so had to cut it and chuck the bottom bit :-( So who wants to tell me how much a new dipstick is going to cost me? Be gentle.

haha - yeah, Rays technical stuff was awsome. One thing I really didnt like in this place thou was general non Patrol Related stuff - It just gives people somthing to fight over (it seems to always end up that way) rather than talking about the common interest (patrols). I would prefer topics stayed Patrol/Car/Camping/Technical or semi related topics.
