In July 2011 I purchased an Explorer Campers Lawson Off Road camper trailer. I purchased it second hand but it was only 11 & 1/2 months old. Here are the pics from when I got it.. I've since upgraded the batteries and electronics and purchased extra canvas to complete the annex walls.

I recently installed a Projecta dual battery monitor and I must say that Im very impressed with it. The display is fantastic and it really gives you a good idea on your battery health. The whitish smear over the face of the unit is from when I used metho to clean the dash prior to puttin on the double sided tape to hold the unit in place.. I got it everywhere. video here My starter battery is a little on the sad side - as you can see from the video and images. I have a redarc 1220 which charges the second battery for me - Extremly good unit.

Today I upgraded the forum to I.P Board 3.3. Improved Mobile support (in addition to tapatalk). Would love to know what the site now looks like in a browser on Android.

It seems from reading the posts by the moderators that there really isnt someone who knows what they are doing. There is a specific 'method' that needs to be used to rid the place of the problems and unless they do it right, do it once it will just keep on coming back. There doesnt seem to have been any word from the owner either.. Sinking ship I think.

No, But I can reccommend Cooper AT3's - I have a pair on the Patrol atm.. Very good in the wet while the wife is driving which is a priority for me :-P

Im David - The owner/admin/chief I started this place for the members of patrol4x4.com - It looks like its going to go tits up due to the server being riddled with malware infecting junk. I have a 2002 Nissan Patrol 3.0 Turbo.. Few extras include Redarc 1220 dual battery system with a Century 100 ah deep cycle, Rear light on telescopic pole, Electric break controller, wiring for fridges, anderson plugs etc. The car has a bullbar, side steps etc - All fairly stock thou. Dont do a whole lot of 4x4 - But I do use it to pull my Explorer Camper Trailer along with the wife and kid. I cant find a decent pic of the 4x4 atm - Will update later. I did find a pic of the trailer thou. Day job - running a hosting busienss. :-) [Edit: More pics can be found

As luck would have it, another security patch was released today - I have applied it to the forum. This patch protects the forum against another XSS security issue.

I only started this place as it seemed that patrol4x4 was going to be a dead duck. Im not interested in advertising to push this place - Its just somewhere to go for the existing members of patrol4x4 should it go tits up. I run a hosting business, so server resources are not an issue. Sure I may take advertising revenue one day if the site gets busy... But thats only natural. Basically, im only interested in keeping this going if the mods over at patrol4x4 want to migrate across - they can run this place just like they did the patrol4x4 site - this time thou, they will have a reliable uptodate server. and a host they can contact if shit hits the fan.

Invision are soon to release a new version of IP.Board (the software this place runs on) that has its own dedicated iPhone app. This is in addition to the already excellent mobile compatability that this forum has. (Try browsing to www.mypatrol4x4.com on your iPhone or Android phone - You wont be dissapointed).

Tonight I installed the latest security patch as supplied by InvisionBoard. This security update fixes the following issue: A XSS (Cross Site Scripting) attack is possible under specific circumstances when editing a post another member has made.

I have the same feeling - in that it will never get fixed. The only problem is that no one really knows this place exists.

I have a feeling this place is going to take eons to take off unless others know about it. The other forum (patrol4x4.com) still hasnt been fixed - its been about 3 weeks now. Crazy. Ive posted about this place to give the members somewhere to go, but obviously thats been met with some negativity. If the masses dont come here, im afraid were all going to be stuck using patrol4x4.com from our bloody iphones so we dont get infected.

I never meant to offend anyone by starting this, it just looked like no one was going to fix the other site and I saw an opportunity so I took it. I will keep this site running - it costs me next to nothing especially with zero traffic. If things dont work out at patrol4x4 the doors here will be open.

New logo and cheqerplate background are now in place - You may need to refresh to see them. We replaced the nissan badge with a picture of a patrol to avoid any Nissan legal issues :-)

I’ve not been involved with running an online forum for some years - Way back in the days of early phpBB v2. A lot has changed - This forum runs the latest version of Invision Board and seems to have a lot of new features and a heck of a lot of polish. If there are features you guys know about that are not currently enabled - Let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.

I got no problem with people coping over their posts from the other forum. I dont have time to moderate this place myself - So I would be open to mods from the other forum being mods here and basically running things as they were. I will be hands off. Maybe someone could enighten me as to who the mods are OR let them know whats going on over here.
