dronus4x4
#2 for me please....I'm on my 6th day without ciggies....I'm Tired pissed off and every body wants me to smoke again...lol Keep it up mate, every day is another day closer to giving them up for good! You will look back and ask yourself why you wasted so much money buying those things! More money for the patrol! Then you can become a reformed smoker and get angry at the smokers! Win Win! Don't listen to the people who want you to fail, prove 'em wrong! I used the quit line, they were great, annoying at times but they know what they are doing.. i used to smoke over a pack a day but been off them for 13years (stopped the day my daughter was born!) Lots of the crap will be coming out of your body by now, it gets better after about 1-2 weeks. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

dronus4x4
That's the hardest bit - when around others who are smoking. Great to hear that you resist the addiction and don't crumble. The best thing is to recognise what your triggers are, and know how to deal with them (flight or fight). Soon enough the smell of cigarette smoke goes from a smell your brain associates with pleasure and craving (the chemicals do that to your brain) to what a non smoker smells which is pretty rank. Enjoy the fresh air, and soon enough your patrol will be back on the road and you will have ongoing spare money to spend on fuel so you can get out on some tracks! I need to join this "angry club" too.. I work as an IT Manager and the crud I have to put up with - no wonder IT people get jaded and sarcastic! My mannerisms are getting close to the same as Roy on "the it crowd" Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

Glort
I'm not mad, I'm just a nut case. A phsyc wanted me to go to anger management classes but I told them to fark off, I wasn't having anything to do with that chit, it was a waste of my goddamn time and they were bloody idiots for even suggesting it cause there was no way in hell I needed any of that phsyco crap. In My defense, I have 2 teenage kids at home. Anyone that wouldn't be angry all the time would be crazy!
Nutta
I'm real fukn cranky the last few months, but especially the last couple of weeks. I run a business with a few staff, always fukups, whinging customers that dribble on about shit, cant go on a fukn holiday because ive got no one to take the reins. Was sposed to go away two weeks ago but work was too busy, i was too bloody stressed out, had enough of everything lately. No wife problems shes one of the best women a man could want, doesnt say boo or give me any trouble. I think most of my stress revolves around my business. I cut back on the spirits the last week or so, prolly my problem, not that i drink much, only a can of coke a night and two nips, but fuk it works wonders! Other than that im ready to go to the doctor and see if i can some sort of medication because im at my witts end. Fuk, i even feel better getting that out! Cheers, and good luck to other stressers! See...who said an angry outburst was a bad thing. Now you just have to get to the point of letting it out in continual burst 24hrs of the day.. Seriously though hope things settle down for you soon. My anger nearly cost me my marriage( have just got back together after 18mnths seperation ). Not towards her but just being a cranky shit in general. It was starting to effect her and the kids. It's fucking hard but try and leave the shit at the door . When you can't stand no more jump on the angry club and cut loose. Thats what it was started for. Admin this thread must and will stay a language tolerant zone. Thats the nice side of me done for awhile, I'm going back to be angry twat. By the way i think that makes you #7 lol Edited May 15, 2012 by gottheshits
Glort
Not being in good health makes me angry, short tempered, irratable and a general crunt to live with. I got asked to go see a client who is a family counsellor on her professional basis. she then saw my kids, wife and all of us together. It opened my eyes as to what effect my complications were having on them and vice versa with the way they were with me. Things are much better now. Half the time I let things go and the other half of the time I keep them bottled up. Instead of exploding, I recede. The funny thing is now they have got to know the quieter I get, the more pissed off I am. It is a bit annoying though when I'm having a bad day and am just lying low, that they take that as something is wrong and keep asking me what the matter is. If I get asked too many time and bark I'm OK, then they know I am actually fine. I have been stressed out with running my own business as well and it's not good. It's even worse when you are fighting health issues and having to contend with feeling crap before the day starts. Stress IS a real killer and really needs to be dealt with. I couldn't reccomend highly enough going and getting counseling. Yeah sure, it sounds wimpy and limp wristed but the things they tell you and the realisations you make are astounding and are a huge relief in themselves. Just having someone tell me that this is common with the ilness you have was a big relief to me in a lot of things. Actually knowing why I was as aggro as I was/ am was also a big weight off your shoulders. The odd part is as soon as you are told these things they become blindingly obvious and you wonder how the heck you didn't realise them before. The fact is though, you don't but when you do, it's incredible how much bettter you feel. I can say this, after having worked in a stressful job and my self created stress hell own Business, I'll never do it again. I made chit loads of money but at the end of the day when you can't be buggered enjoying it or don't even have the opportunity, it's not worth it for that alone. The cost to your health and the effect not only on your life but of those close to you just makes it a no brainer. I met up with a guy I knew many years ago who is now a multimillionaire and has worked his arse off for the last 20 years. The stress I created for myself is laughable compared to his. When I first saw the guy, I didn't recognise who the old man was that was talking to me. when he told me his name, it still took a few seconds to comprehend what I was seeing. The guy is younger than me but geez I'm sure looking a lot better. Hearing of his 2 failed marriges, health problems including a heart attack at 41 and a pile of other complications really hit home that this guy has paid one hell of a price for his wealth. I can honestly say it made me feel a lot better for being no where near as hard working and dedicated as this guy. He may be rich but I wouldn't want to swap places with him, that's for sure. The typical thing is that you have to carry on, you need the money to support your family or whatever and there is nothing else you can do. There's always something else you can do that is better. Money sure as hell isn't everything and you family are worth more than all the money in the world so there is no question or decision to be made really. I feel pretty lucky. I have got into something that is hard physicaly for me at times but relatively stress free. It also pays veeery well. I still have a damned short fuse but I'm not biting my family's heads off anymore 24/7. Now they have to deserve it. Stress is about the worst affliction in the world I reckon. If you have it's just not an option not to go and see someone about it and do what needs to be done before it kills you. Literally.

Nutta
I'll be letting out more anger on this thread, it might help! I hear ya Glort, my business is killing me, its like it grows as do the bills, insurances, licences, fukups, fukwits, building services authority and all the other crap with it! I made the decision recently to clean it up and will make an attempt to sell it in a year or two, its a sad thing when your business is so busy that the phone ringing 24/7 drives you mad and you can't keep up with work, and i feel bad getting pissed off and burnt out when i know there are other tradies that are really suffering without work, but christ, i cant even squeeze a 7 day holiday in! The only other option i have is to wind it back a little i suppose, but easier said than done. Anyway, if i can have a bitch on here now and again i may not need to go to a phsyciatrist!!
