Just purchased new 2015 Nissan patrol ST Y61 with the N-trek kit and added a Nissan snorkel, this is my 3rd patrol so I thought I would join a patrol forum. From the N.T originally but now based in QLD/ Brisbane,like fishing, 4wd,camping, married with kids. Just thought I would say hi.

I have been following this forum for some time, especially when something comes up with the vehicle. We have a 2004 model 4.2 manual patrol from new that we have taken to many places across this great country. It is our second patrol, first one was a 2000 model 3litre auto which also took us to a lot of remote places. I had a 3"exhaust with mod turbo installed from new along with diff locks front and rear and winch. Inside we did the usual things, drawers, shelves etc as well as a HF radio for communication. Fundamentally the vehicle has done a lot of off road miles with only one problem whin a rear coil cup split, however that was self inflicted. (Long story) I am curren…

Hi there,, everyone, I'm Ben and Am new to this forum, And also this is our first family 4wd . And are very excited to own one after years of working hard and saving, I have a diesel zd30 patrol and It loses power at approx 3000rpm as if it hits the rev limiter and if it sometimes gets to 3500rpm it will stall( or the computer may shut the engine off)and to start the car you have to completely switch off the ignition and restart again , has anyone had any similar experiences? Hi all second time round Patrol Owner, my previous patrol was a 92 GQ shorty, the new rig is a 2011 ST wagon 3lt. Had to up grade from the Triton as the family has expanded to 4 kids, so the GU VII with rear air-conditioning will do fine.

Bought my 2003 GU Y61 Patrol Wagon brand new and only for weekends. It was my way of getting away from the cities and thoroughly enjoy it. Back then it was with the kids and now it is just me and the misses and anyone else who wants to follow. Best thing i ever did was buying it, the worst thing i ever did was have Nissan touch it. As you may guess i do all my own servicing and touch wood no problems. My key point here is to service it by the book and do it properly and at times, hang the expense. Driving a 2009 GU wagon with (too) many mods ..... when is enough, enough? Enjoy our 4wd touring and currently pulling a Tvan. Retired so lucky enough to have the time to get out and about. I'm currently doing my own GT35/40 turbo install (from a BA Falcon XR6T) where I'm doing most of the work myself. I'm a fair way into it and would like to do a build thread here hoping it might interest other 4.5 owners.

Hey there names vic im from chch new zealand Owner of 3 safaris 1988 swb 4inch iron man suspension lift 2 body running 33 coopers no swaybars building ex cage 1989 swb same mods but 35 coopers caged a his and hers combo and a 1989 lwb high roof for a run about never owned a toyota but pulling them out constantly google info for the trucks allways brings me here u guys have saved me a few headaches in the past so here to help if I can cheers

Hi all, just signed up after reading some very helpful threads about rock sliders. Bought a 1999 gu 4500 last weekend, dinged the door sill and bent the alloy sidesteps this weekend! Didn't buy it to look good tho... So far all's good.
