Cooked one up tonight after reading this thread, can't believe what I've been missing out on.
  7. Hey mate Speak to your local 4wd shops and let them know what your chasing. we take them to the tip after fitting rear bars unless we know someone is chasing it. We never ask for anything for them but we always appreciate a carton if it comes along.
  8. Friday to Sunday - justice crew
  9. My motor arrived yesterday so I'm Gunna head in tomorrow and have a look and find out when I can get started
  10. The mind boggles
  11. I destroyed my auto hubs on an 08 patrol earlier this year the one time I didn't manually lock them and they crapped themselves
  12. Tip for young players, apply some grease onto the ends of the pad shoe where the sit in their mounts will stop noise from any pad movement.
  13. Yeah I was originally getting an LS2 however it has been decided the L98 has far less Kay's on it and is in better condition.
  14. It's from a mates patrol that had already been converted. Just gotten off the phone, I will be taking everything from his car minus the motor, as I have a L98 on the way from over east which should be here next week.
  15. Nah at this stage I am still waiting for the insurance company to release the donor vehicle. I am going this route as I will also get recaro seats, long range tanks, diff armour, chromoly cvs plus a range of other goodies. If they decide to no write it off it's just a matter of ordering everything, 3-5 day wait for delivery and then it's on. I wouldn't have pulled my motor out yet except I sold it to a bloke who had his zd30 grenade on him. The pics are coming I promise
  16. I am still waiting on the engine but whilst waiting I have decided I'm not happy with the badges on the rear door, this one arrived today to replace them.
  17. One added bonus with steelies is you can at least take to it with a hammer to repair whereas if you damage an alloy it's knackered
  18. Wheel studs are the same, depending on what rims you go will determine whether you need to change wheel nuts. I am running a set of steelies that use the factory nuts.
  19. Beautiful day -U2
  20. Lol I like the way you think
  21. Nah your right it's taken a pretty big hit
  22. Here are a few pics of mine I will get some pics of the mounting points next time I'm down the workshop
  23. Spent this morning removing the wiring harness and ECU, sent the CRD to its new owner and badged the patrol
  24. Fuel usage never used to bother me id just fill up whenever it needed it. It wasnt until i fitted the scan gauge 2 that I realized how crap the economy was. Emissions shouldn't be an issue as I will fit the ls2 factory cat when I fab the exhaust.
