  • Fitted two more 12v power outlets to the rear of the centre console to run the 12v oven and power the kids electronic gear

  • Drove to Melbourne to clear a few outstanding issues and used it to test some tuning mods to my diesel chip. Diesel chip outcomes very good. Melbourne is a bigger shit hole than ever. Only one in ten

Crikey you learn something new every day. I didn't realise that chariots had rubber tyres... well there you go! Not sure if the horse (tow vehicle) would like it either! Sent from my Galaxy N

Went with the ARB locker as I already had the compressor, now can't wait to test it out.

In two weeks it will get a good test! :ph34r:B):D:P:D :D

battery acid lol

Yea good one..

I know you use demineralized water to top up, but the acid has a proper name.

Edit.

Mr google answered my question. It's sulfuric acid

Slightly embarrassing, but I checked the oil in my 4.2 and as I pulled the dipstick out I let it touch the + terminal. Sparks and smoke. It only lasted a split second but the damage is done. The bloody dipstick had a burn nearly all the way through and only a few strands of the wire remained intact and whatever material is in the core of the dipstick was broken. I couldn't risk re inserting it so had to cut it and chuck the bottom bit :-(

So who wants to tell me how much a new dipstick is going to cost me? Be gentle.

Haha, I've done that a few times on Cruisers, on one I had to pull the sump off to get the end out. Flames and everything. Such a dumb idea having the terminal that close.

I've done that a few times on my zd30 lol. Last time completely melted through. Bought one through NIZZBITS and I think it was under $30 delivered.

I now put a rag over terminal when checking oil.
