Dame wish my trade was finished, does 10 years experiance of deisel mechanic count for anything lol, oh i dont even have a passport
  3. ^^^^ well wasnt that smart, they should have rolled it back down the hill while the flame was small then attempted to smother it lol nah lets just let it exploide then jump out and let it run free into the crowd lol
  4. Im sticking with a factory bush just for now for testing purposes once the rear end is finished off, Then once im happy with how everything is that iv done ill build eather the rotating 360 degree bush assembely or ill go to a Heim joint, just need to see how much flex im getting and if the roatating bush is really a neccesity over a Heim.
  5. Small updates got a pressy today from Road Runner and halfway through the build on my A-Frame.

  13. very nice it almost makes me jelly i dont have a td42t lol almost
  14. check your distributer, i only say that because mine started making this nasty metal scraping sound also and pulled it all apart and the bearings where dry added lube and good as new
  15. Cheers fellas Got some more done today made the new plate that will bolt between the factory upper trailing arms on the diff for my new setup but i f'd the measurements for the bolt holes and now they are about 1/4 of a hole out ( didnt accomadte for the bend in the metal >__< ) anyways no major harm i will slot the holes on sunday and it will still pull up tight because of my other 2 that go in from behind to pull it up snug against the backside of the factory mounts, So hopeing to have all that bolted up tight come mid next week and then my new drop out cones will have arrived so ill have to mod them to hold my bump stops im adding front patrol bump stops to the rear via the drop out cones. Then i can get back into the trailing arms and A-Frame and hope to have all that done by next weekend and ready for testing
  16. Grinding noise and hot hubs would indicate that that hub is trying to engage as your driving or its not fully retracting into itself when put in free. My drivers side started to make the same sound and was super hot replaced the hub with a spare and presto all good now
  17. How do you use it Ray? do you just slip the strap hoop over both bars or what. can you upload a picture with the strap attached cause i like this idea alot will make it easier then pulling the pin out and slipping the strap up the bars guts then putting the pin back in. I did awhile ago make a snatch point by using an old tow toung and a rated bow shackle i slotted the box section and slipped the shackle into it then welded it all up and folded the tabs i slotted over the shackle and welded it up some more but iv been to scared to use it lol.
  18. Ah didnt think about the airbags sorry mate. lol
  19. nice landy good to still see blokes out there giving the old trolls some love still gee i miss my old shorty sometimes lol good work
  20. Ok this is the a quick chuck together picture of the boss for my rear end (not to scale) Gives you fellas an idea of what im running with
  21. Yeah i built a small version for on the shelf testing for geomitry checking and i think its going to work well so iv tossed that into the bin and now about ready to start building the big one im going to use.
  22. Got some rancho rs9000 adjustable shocks showing up maybe this weekend, they measure 930mm open and 545mm closed that hell beats my tuff dogs at 500mm closed and 760mm open. When i weld in my new drop out cones im going to incorperate a bump stop in the bottom of the cone which should work out perfect for the new shock lenght at full closed and im going to use standard GQ fronts in the rear, should come out a dirty treat when finished
  23. id be more inclined to look at the millweld bars first mate much nice on the eyes and alot stronger imo
