Check this crap out, posted on the news section of the other forum. Another member made a decision to delete ALL his posts - which sucked, because he is a smart guy and a lot of the data in his posts were very valuable to the members here both present and future. That's his prerogative, anyone can delete their data at any time - but doing so takes away from the knowledge base of the forum (i.e. people no longer have access to that data when searching) and given that the basis of forums is sharing, deleting your data demonstrates that you no longer wish to participate. Imagine what would be lost if everyone who sold their Patrol also deleted all their stuff here? Leave it here, in doing so you are giving something back for what the forum has given to you. I really can’t understand what possessed him to do it, perhaps he doesn't understand how communities operate... but anyway, we move on. So on one hand the clown says: "That's his prerogative, anyone can delete their data at any time" but then they ban you for doing so. Is he on drugs or should he be??? Talk about double standards and hypocracy! What a farkwit! Following the reasons given for my banning and the defamatory comments posted by a mod there, I have just sent a request for my account and all my posts to be deleted. I fully expect they will want to play clever Crunts and do nothing which is fine. I was always taken as fool there, I'll be glad to show them who the real fools are and have the last laugh.

I see why I don't miss the other site. I just had a look at the " I miss Ray" thread and I'm accused of " Going hammer and tong and being a ****** ( whatever that is, care to explain JNR?) over the forum takeover. Farking typical of that place, don't let facts or reality stand in the way of a load of crap. I asked 2 questions about what was happening. I made no complaints about how long the mods were string people along or the google warnings or anything else that was sub standard yet i'm such a chit stirrer. I just saw on the forum news that I was banned for upsetting the admin with speculation of how the forum might be taken over. Glort also carried on enough to annoy Admin, yeah yeah I know he does that to everyone but being an occasionally interesting character he gets away with a lot here. None of the mods have a personal beef with Glort ( HORSE CHIT THEY DON"T!) and his ways so long as he treats fellow members with the courtesy expected of all members, but he decided in his wisdom to begin writing stuff that simply wasn’t true and could have been detrimental to the forum - and that is the point at which he crossed the line. He's still doing it over on MyPatrol.com and my advice to admin over there would be to knock it on the head quick smart. Speculating on how the Admin team could manage a hostile take-over is simply beyond what we were prepared to accept – the forum owner is a member and has been online and how would he like to read that sort of stuff? ( Maybe he ought to grow a pair) Glort is welcome to rejoin the community with no hard feelings one month from now. And no, he hasn’t been on a hit list for a long time, that’s just Glort making crap up again. Awww! I upset the poor admins. Maybe that was why one of them threw a little hissy fit like a 2 yo and took his bat and ball home until he got his own way. They can get farked as far as I'm concerned. Nice to know they will be reading this or someone will be busily messaging them. No doubt everyone there will be glad to see the back of me so works out well for everyone.

I'm not unrealistic, I don't expect the forecast to always be perfect, weather happens. The problem is as my friend and I have noticed countless times, they get WRONG far more times than they get it Right! And saying " chance of Rain" virtually every day for more than 4 months.... Come on, I could do the same with no training or facilities. My friend says they are less accurate than a broken watch because even that is right twice a day, The BOM can't make accurate concrete predictions twice a week. As for doing something right, that's irrelevant. 3 of the top 10 australian sites are real estate so I'm not sure what a top 10 proves other than you are in a popular subject. The BOM have a monopoly on a market everyone has a vested interest in. If I had the only porn site accessible from within Australia, I'd have the top Aussie site so how well you do something is irrelevant to the subject matter.

Was being negative against any forum rules? Funny enough, even before I got canned I looked though the site several times and like the others, I just didn't have any interest or inclination to post anymore. What was once entertaining now seemed annoying really. I think the whole thing with the attitude of the forum takeover soured it for me. Probably a good thing. I would probably have annoyed if I had been banned when I still wanted to have been there but the fact I hadn't had any inclination for 2 days before hand really made it more laughable than anything. I'm sure i'm not actualy missing a thing on the cyclist thread. It was all said 20 pages back.

No problems with supplying your own. She isn't my Cuppa tea but your pictures so you can have whomever you like. If you can afford her, the forum commission on your order ought to keep it going for quite some time!

Mate lost his house key one time and was going to smash a window to get in. Was ticked off at the cost of having to replace it. I noticed a lot of left over Fibro from the recent renovations the land lord had done before he moved in and also remembered that the laundry wasnt finished yet. We punched a hole right through the side wall of the house and got in that way. Luckily the laundry wall hadn't been gyprocked yet. We got the spare fibro, found there was a sheet cut perfectly to size we needed and had the wall replaced and cleaned up inside of 30 min. Mate made sure to put some heavy cupboards along that wall even when the gyprock was done! With cars, making yours more difficult to take than the next one is about the best you can hope for. If they want it bad enough, they will winch it onto a table top tow truck and get it that way.

And with a length of Pipe on the end, there's virtually no padlock they won't open.... except the ones with the shielding. And on keys, quite often there is not that many keys to fit a specific lock. Suffice to say I wanted to do something a little dodgy ( get into a garbage holding area to get to the waste veg oil) but didn't want to destroy a certain padlock or cause any damage. I got some numbers off the lock standing in my way and went to a lock smith to see if they were any sort of code. They werent but the guy said there were only 10 combos to that lock. $40 later I had all 10 keys and of course the one that fit. Well worth it too, I have got a Ship load of good oil from that place over the years! Apparently this is not uncommon with some locks having more combos but basicaly anything you buy at the hardware store is limited in the number of keys they have.

They probably think now they have got some control they are home and hosed and can start playing Hitler. I doubt they will run out of members, it's so much of a mutual butt licking society they will look after their mates and continue on. Good luck to them I say. This place seems to be kicking on very nicely especially given how young it is so I'm sure it will continue to grow and thrive. I'll also bet it gets copied in more than one area as the opposition try to bring their site up to scratch. I'm wondering what the real deal is though. MY possibly flawed thoughts are theat the ex owns the site so I'm wondering if The guy has the key to the castle and has let his mates in but if the castle owner still might be able to kick them back out. Haven't relly looked the last few days but last time I did, the announcements everyone was celebrating over created more questions than what they raised. I'm Wondering if it wasn't the mrs that locked the mods out before and if it's possible she may do so again when she realises they have been let back in or she is OK with everything. The lack of a " We own it" announcement makes me suspicious. I tend to think they are just giving enough info out to string the followers along but the war is far from won?

You could also ask exactly what all the hard work they did was if they couldn't contact the owner? If you want to know what locks are good and secure, go onto lock picking sites. It's amazing how many brands that are sold as preimum locks are easily defeated. Not just by picking but by other methods as well. If you know the common and basic ways of bypassing locks, there are not that many that will give you a lot of trouble. By far the better thing to do where possible is use those lock sheild things. If you can't get to the lock, it's whole lot harder to defeat it. My car got chained in a car park a while back ( which I had every right to be in) and thanks to a couple of tools everyone would have in their box, the thing was lying on the ground in bits 3 seconds after I walked up to the thing. Would have easily been a $50-60 lock which had to be replaced. Hope they bought a better one next time round.

In my GQ I filled several switch holes with switches I pulled from a commodore. Exact same size. I don't remember any blanks on the one I had, it was a more upmarket version with a lot of extras but maybe the poverty packs have some blanks in theri dashes?

A friend that also has a close interest in the weather and I have been ridiculeing the BOM for their entire summer forecast. There was only one, " Chance of showers". Sometimes to make it look like they weren't all on holidays and had left and endless loop going, they would say " Possible showers" Chance of rain, Possible afternoon/ morning/ evening showers... etc. As we see it, there's a chance or possibility our Lotto numbers will come up next week but neither of us are going to put a deposit on a new Rolls Royce on that foundation. We don't want to know if it's possible it will rain, we take that as a given. What we want to know is IF it's going to rain. I dont need to know all the complications and carry on, it's bloody simple yes/No question..... Is it going to rain or not? End of story. Possible and chance of and all the rest is no good to me. Like ray says, if they can't tell me with any certainty what tomorrow is going to be like, how the heck can they even kid themselves that they have any hope of telling me what's going to happen in 20 or 50 years. Looking at the predictions from when all this Global scamming change started, that's now being shot down in flames already as the planet is getting cooler.

Not being in good health makes me angry, short tempered, irratable and a general crunt to live with. I got asked to go see a client who is a family counsellor on her professional basis. she then saw my kids, wife and all of us together. It opened my eyes as to what effect my complications were having on them and vice versa with the way they were with me. Things are much better now. Half the time I let things go and the other half of the time I keep them bottled up. Instead of exploding, I recede. The funny thing is now they have got to know the quieter I get, the more pissed off I am. It is a bit annoying though when I'm having a bad day and am just lying low, that they take that as something is wrong and keep asking me what the matter is. If I get asked too many time and bark I'm OK, then they know I am actually fine. I have been stressed out with running my own business as well and it's not good. It's even worse when you are fighting health issues and having to contend with feeling crap before the day starts. Stress IS a real killer and really needs to be dealt with. I couldn't reccomend highly enough going and getting counseling. Yeah sure, it sounds wimpy and limp wristed but the things they tell you and the realisations you make are astounding and are a huge relief in themselves. Just having someone tell me that this is common with the ilness you have was a big relief to me in a lot of things. Actually knowing why I was as aggro as I was/ am was also a big weight off your shoulders. The odd part is as soon as you are told these things they become blindingly obvious and you wonder how the heck you didn't realise them before. The fact is though, you don't but when you do, it's incredible how much bettter you feel. I can say this, after having worked in a stressful job and my self created stress hell own Business, I'll never do it again. I made chit loads of money but at the end of the day when you can't be buggered enjoying it or don't even have the opportunity, it's not worth it for that alone. The cost to your health and the effect not only on your life but of those close to you just makes it a no brainer. I met up with a guy I knew many years ago who is now a multimillionaire and has worked his arse off for the last 20 years. The stress I created for myself is laughable compared to his. When I first saw the guy, I didn't recognise who the old man was that was talking to me. when he told me his name, it still took a few seconds to comprehend what I was seeing. The guy is younger than me but geez I'm sure looking a lot better. Hearing of his 2 failed marriges, health problems including a heart attack at 41 and a pile of other complications really hit home that this guy has paid one hell of a price for his wealth. I can honestly say it made me feel a lot better for being no where near as hard working and dedicated as this guy. He may be rich but I wouldn't want to swap places with him, that's for sure. The typical thing is that you have to carry on, you need the money to support your family or whatever and there is nothing else you can do. There's always something else you can do that is better. Money sure as hell isn't everything and you family are worth more than all the money in the world so there is no question or decision to be made really. I feel pretty lucky. I have got into something that is hard physicaly for me at times but relatively stress free. It also pays veeery well. I still have a damned short fuse but I'm not biting my family's heads off anymore 24/7. Now they have to deserve it. Stress is about the worst affliction in the world I reckon. If you have it's just not an option not to go and see someone about it and do what needs to be done before it kills you. Literally.

Umm, ny memory is lousy at the best of times but werent you giving me a serve at one stage for not "supporting" the forum? If I have that right and they flicked you, they are really loosing the plot by banning their advocates.

I call them as I see them mate. It was clear to me your motivations were nothing more than trying to help the members of the site by providing another place for them to go if worse came to worst. Frankly, I was surprised some idiots could see the same damn obvious thing. Maybe they did, It's also clear to me now just what a boys club that place really is. If your in with the click then you will say the appropriate thing, end of story. While the admins were also trying to spout all sorts of baseless sunshine and rainbows, it was also clear the facts of the matter were anything but rosy. What was also obvious is how many of them didn't like the other local patrol site but they were going to go there out of lack of any other choice. You provided them with one and people still bitched and lambasted you for it. A good job really. Better to keep such dillatantes at arms length rather than have to suffer them directly. I'm happy to back anything and anyone I believe in and likewise i'm not afraid to question what I don't agree with or find suspect. I also think banning me was something that has been on the cards for ages. They don't like people that go against the grain there and don't fall into line and I had pissed all the admins off at some time by not following the party line or agreeing with everything they said. Funny enough, when I did post things that I thought would get me kicked for crossing the line, ( but couldn't give a damn anyway) nothing was ever said. Then, out of the blue, I'd get some infraction or PM wrapping me over the knuckles for what I would have never guessed was out of bounds. Right now I'm wondering if their little ban fest may end up backfireing. I was getting sick of the theats all the time even to other people for nothing more than expressing a non sanctioned opinion. If others start getting threatened or banned for no valid reason, then that may erode their numbers and more over reputation even more. Obviously there needs to be rules but asking questions and having a mind of ones own should not be something someone is threatend because of in my book. Forums are a great way to fill in the idle time I have when i'm too crook to do anything useful. At the end of the day no matter at times how wrapped up you get in them for an hour or 3, they are just entertainment and have no influence on a person in their real life. That's one of the reasons I just don't get why so many there are going on about loosing the forum as if it were looseing a child and why so many Felt a loyality to that site instead of just coming here. There is nothing there that can't be documented again with updated and fresh info. It's not about whats been posted before, it's about the people that put the info there in the first place and can provide more info in the future.

So is mine but I hardly think that was the point. At least it WAS a temporary ban, I expect that well may change with the less than glowing comments I have made here. Such is life. If it does, then that will just confirm it's not a place I want to be a part of.

YEah some interiour shots would be great. The way those vans are set up these days is awesome. I spent a lot of time as a kid traveling with my grandparents caravaning and loved every second of it. I missed a lot of school in my earlier years going with them but once I got to High school, it benifited me immensely. It's one thing to look at something and read about it in a book, it's quire something else to go home and get you own photos of you there and have the samples you picked up from the coal mine, sugar refinery, wheat farm or whatever you are learning about and be able to describe it from experience. . My Aunt and Uncle are the epitomy of the great Grey nomads and I can't wait till I have the time and opportunity to do the same myself.

Exactly what I made of Jets recent posts. One minute he's like a kid throwing a tantrum because he didn't get his own way and the other kids aren't all saying nice things to him he wants to hear so he's taking his bat and ball and going home with the sooks. The next minute mummy comes along and he gets his own way and what he wanted so everything is fine again. Now that mummy put him in charge of the sand pit again, he's taking out his revenge on all the kids who he didn't like what they said to him. No one can argue that isn't just plain immature and childish. If anyone else did that, they would have copped heaps for it not have sunshine blown up their backsides not be crawled and sucked up to. Certainly lost me a lot of respect for the guy no matter what he has done behind the scenes and for the forum in general.

Well that depends. Have you had your wrist slapped on the other site yet? If Not, sorry, no bad boys membership for you. You're going to have to try harder to tick someone off on the other site. Shouldn't be hard to do if you ask how the forum is going and what their rescue plans are. That worked for Slim and I pretty well. It might take a few days before you are notified of your success though as it did us. Oh geez, I might be upset if thinking about it didn't make me laugh so much!
