  1. Maybe The bannings are more significant than they let on. The Bad Boys Club is going to need it's own sub forum! 😛
  2. Wow, I thought a few might leave but 17,000!! Things must be worse than anyone imagined!!
  3. Bugger the esk bag, We want to see the Bikinis! On hot female models of course! Heres some ideas for you to go on with designing them: http://wickedweasel.com/en-au
  4. Well, as they say about learning something every day..... I thought Steampunk was more a theme for photographs up till now. I have seen a lot of models photographed in this theme but I had no idea it was a decorating style in itself if you like. Truly amazing stuff. I guess the best bit is, Unlike a lot of decors you could decorate you house with that would be completely out of style in 10 years, this sort of decor would just keep getting more impressive.
  5. Comfy? Whats the difference? I can't imagine having a string up your arse would ever be comfy but there are loads of bikini's like that already!
  6. Easy! Make up some patterns and start making sunshades for the windows of all 4x4's and then move onto people movers, wagons and sedans! If you really want to cash in, Start marketing them as foldable Photographic reflectors. You'll be able to get at least 4 times more for the same amount of material as you can get selling them as car sunshades. And If you want to get max $$ per meter, cut up little tiny pieces, sew some strings on them and sell them as womens Bikini's. They must be the most profitable clothing line of all. The less material you use, they more they seem to be willing to pay!
  7. Perhaps you guys have been banned too! If you can confirm that is the case, you will be stoked to know you can claim your membership to the coverted and growing Bad Boys Club. If it's just yet another technical hitch, sorry, we are an exclusive, snobby lot of rejects and outcasts and only accept qualified Villans. You'll just have to wait till their tech problems are fixed. You could get yourself kicked by making a post that this is a great site and people should join up here and then you could claim your BBC membership. But hurry, places are filling up fast and only limited seats are still available! Meanwhile, being a regular member here is growing in it's benifits day by day and the site offers features others don't! * You can log on and make posts from your PC OR Phone. * It's gauranteed Virus free. * You can email the site owner and get a timely response * It's based on a forum software from this decade * It has graphics and looks fresh and modern And of course, we have the BBC! All the advantages and benifits of a real forum and none of the drawbacks.
  8. Ray's version of interesting renders mine more like " Amateur" " Redneck" and "Embarrassing". I think I would struggle with the style/ appearance of the steampunk theme but on the practical side, I could make a computer that truly was steam powered. I get the impression the steampunk theme is more about looks than actual engineering. If that was the case, I'd use a keg for a boiler, half a turbo for the turbine and a couple of gears or timing belt pulleys to drive a DC motor for the generator. Probably the only relationship to the theme of with what I built myself is that it would be steam powered and look like it was built by a Punk.

This is a bad one to start me on, sends me over the edge at the thought of it. Whenever i get the " Privacy " thing, I give them heaps. Like Ray I get calls for my wife. when I ask what it is relation to I get the privacy crap. Then they ask me if she has a mobile and what the number is of if she can be rung at work. When I say yes and they ask for the number, I say sorry, that's private. Amazing how many get upset at that. I tell them, If telling me why you are ringing is private, how the hell can you think giving out her number to someone I don't know can't be.? Then they will ask what time she gets home. I tell them that is private too. I too have people ringing and wanting my DOB and address etc and I refuse to give it. I tell them with that info you can steal my identity and cause me grief and I'm not giving it out. If it's the bank or someone I tell them you obviously have all my details, you tell me what you have and I'll tell you if it's right. They don't like that either. I tell them, you have rung my home number, who the hell do you think would be answering the phone in my own home and identifying themselves as me if they weren't? Idiots. I also get infuriated when they wont discuss something with my wife because an account is in my name. I don't have the paticence to deal with these twits passing me from one department to the next and giving me thier sanctamonious customer service crap dialouge like I'm an idiot. I can be sitting beside her when she makes the call and tell them work this out with her because I don't understand and they still argue. I had one the other day, Optus I think it was and after telling them she looks after this bill and pays it on her CC so I have no clue, they still didn't want to talk to her. I said you go find a supervisor and tell them I said you either talk to my wife about it or the next thing you hear will be me cancelling all my accounts with you. Supervisor wanted to speak to me and gave me the privacy crap and I said hang on a minute, You are interefering with my private matters. Not up to you to decide whom I elect to manage my affairs, it's up to me. Butt out of my business and telling me what to do, that's not your place. In the end he agreed to talk to the Mrs this one time but couldn't do it again. I told him, You mark it on my accounts that anyone that rings has to talk to her and if they don't I will close my accounts with you. Gives me the Chits right and proper.
  10. The mechanic that did the recent engine rebuild/ replacement has Farked something up!
  11. I think when you have a car worth closer to a half mil than not, you would have to be thick not to assume some risk to yourself from that sort of thing happening. If one were to carry a transparent suitcase with that much cash in it no one would be surprised or sympathetic. If a woman were to advertise the fact she was wearing a diamond ring of that value or anything else basicaly not bolted down, there could be a reasonable expectation of the same thing happening. That is damn big money by anyones standards and people have been killed for a hell of a lot less. It's sad that this sort of thing happens but in reality, it would have been probably more likley to happen 100 years ago and anytime until the present so its not a matter of things getting worse, it's a matter of the enivatable happening. I'm sure having a knife held to her throat rattled her badly and is a cowardly act no question that no one deserves. I have a bike that is also a likley target to be stolen, probably only a little less so with me on it than not. I take my chances with the thing because it does attract attention and attention from the wrong kind. Price you pay for indulging your ego trip. At the end of the day she wasn't hurt and the car will be insured. I'll bet my backside she buys something a lot less attention seeking as a replacement but unfortunately I'll also bet the experience will haunt her for life to some degree. As for the person in the MX5, the first thing I thought about when I saw the article was what about all the other hundreds of cars that have been stolen since the cops released the plate number of that one. I'm sure they are not getting nearly the same amount of effort into recovering theirs. A lot of lesser stolen vehicles would be much more important to the owners than that one was to her. In any case, I doubt it will ever be seen again here. It's probably already in a container labeled machinery parts and on it's way to some dictators private garage.
  12. Remember Mike, Banning is a right of passage that gets you into the esteemed Bad Boys Club here. Frankly I'm surprised people aren't telling them to shove it in drove just to get in! They probably haven't heard about it yet but once word gets out and we go Viral, There won't be a person on the face of the planet that wouldn't give their first born Child for a membership number!
  13. I looked up the steam punk computers following the pic you put up Ray. Amazing. I would really like to do something like that. Would make the perfect conversation piece. Some interesting stuff here on modded computers. http://www.datamancer.net/monitors/steampunklcd1.htm
  14. Must be nice to have that sort of money to spend on a car. Plenty of people don't live in a home worth that much.

Exactly! And being in that catergory, I'd be happy for no post count or mine to always read 10! The best one I have ever seen is on a model forum by a bloke with over 53,000 posts last time I looked since 2008 I think it was. That's just plain disturbing!
  16. I agree! That thing is F**King awesome. Looking at it before I read the description I thought it may have been some sort of stereoscope image copier . Reading the thread title I thought I may have had something to contribute. seeing the standard of the benchmark, I'll now tip toe away quietly to hide my embarrassment at my lack of any real skill. Really Impressive Ray. You should be justifyably proud of your outstanding craftmanship.
  17. I disagree. I think it is highly refreshing to be told up front what the go is rather than to be told one thing when clearly the attitude is something the complete opposite. I read that rule yesterday when I saw the post about the forum rules and thought no more than " Fair enough". For the life of me I can't see how anyone would take issue with it. If I owned a forum, I'd say EXACTLY the same thing! Do you really think anyone is going to have someone else tell them what they can do and how things will be in their own house? Of course the good thing here is the admin actualy owns and runs HIS house and has full control of it. I made a resoloution to avoid the chitfights when I came here of my own volition rather than it being any rule. Call it trying to learn from mymistakes if you will. Personaly can't see the problem. I think it may elevate the level of discussion. If you want the chitfights, I see you have already gone running back to a place you can do that so you're happy, I'm happy. I certainly didn't pay it much attention let alone thrive on it. I certainly won't miss it and it seems like others whom have been interested in it are not any longer so I don't think anyone else is complaining about its removal. It probably would. Good job then the admin has the insight to permit other discussions isn't it? Were you wanting to promote a line of products you are selling? I would suggest the great majority of people have realised that for a considerably long time. . I'd say the issue is more like there being so much that needs to be done, working out where to start will be a challenge in itself. I fully expect many of the features and facilities already here to soon pop up there. As for this place not being for you, fair enough. It's obvius other forums cater more to the things you want to see. Things like admins with hidden agenda's, chitfight arguments over politics and ads everywhere.... although I think you may be dissapointed on that last one elsewhere as well. Each to their own I suppose. Well I know Ray is missed, jacket as far as I was aware is still over there as I thought Mike was. As for me being missed, either you have the wrong guy or thats the funniest thing I have read in a week. I'll be missed about as much as the Plauge! They are still bitching about me there and clinking glasses I have gone although the powers that be don't seem to like it being known I left by my own choice. Bye! Have fun. You have done much to promote the attitude and mentality that makes other sites more attractive to you.

http://www.backyardmetalcasting.com Lots of stuff about Burners and foundrys and making metal turn to liquid with fire! ( Insert Tim the tool Man Grunt sound effect) http://digitalgrin.com/ Lots of Photo stuff.
  20. I never cease to be amazed at the variance in economy of one flavor of patrol against similar ones and how thirsty any of them can be.
  21. I thought you were talking about a post on the other site. I looked at this thread before any others. My bad. I can absoloutley see where you are coming from Ray. The mentality you speak of twisting and blowing things out of proportion was rife there. I asked 2 questions about the forum takeover and was said to be " Going hammer and tong" at the admins. Ya! Most of us I think are sick of the old attitudes and are wanting a change. To be honest, as a political ignorant by choice, I don't understand or have the background knowledge to know what you are talking about in a lot of your political posts but I don't think you should be put off posting them if you want. I'm positive most of the informed members here can have a civil discussion with you without turning it into a war so just ignore those who want to go too far. If they don't get the attention they have come here for and as I agree with you they only have one topic of interest or input, I'm sure they will soon get bored and move on when they don't get the reaction they crave.
  22. I had one of the windscreen companies ( can't remember which one) do a screen on my commodore. They don't have a rubber, just siliconed in. The thing whistled and then leaked. Rang them up and someone else came out and when they pulled the trim off, there was a section of about 10 Cm where there was no sealant at all. Not happy Jan! I think the 2nd guy was a bit embarrassed at the obvious shoddy workmanship. He used HEAPS of sealant and was very careful about how he cleaned off the subsequent ooze. Was fine after that. My GQ seems to be leaking on both sides. Someone has obviously tried to silicone it up before. Perhaps getting the windscreen rubber replaced might be a good idea. Anyone got any ball park figures for the seal and having it done?
  23. I wasn't really sure if this was said in jest but given the other stabs you have taken elsewhere, I'm guessing not. As a prime scrapper on the other site, I have made a resoloution not to bring the same chit here. I have let bygones be by gones and will let any jibes go by for the sake of the peace here. So far the flavor is very friendly and pleasant with most of us having more than one common interest in being here. If I can turn a new leaf, I suggest you can as well. If you want to have a go, I suggest you confine that to the political crappery section and keep the rest of the place in the good spirited tone that has been the theme so far. Others may choose to spar with you, they may not but don't try and incite reactions for the hell of it. If you have come here to stir things up, please don't, go back to the other place for that.
  24. Welcome aboard!! Yes, it's been clear for some time there is only one correct opinion over there and if you don't follow the sheeple mentality, you'll be whipping boy. Makes a bit of a farce of their statements only 4 people have been banned. Typical.
  25. Have to say I'm surprised to hear that Ray. I would have thought that you would be one of the loyalists there. People think I whinge about everything so I don't count but when you have had enough, to me at least that says something. At least they miss you unlike most of us. It will be interesting to see if they delete your Posts, please let us know if they do. I sent a message last night asking for them to delete my account and all my posts. I'm pretty sure they won't out of spite but we'll see if they afford you a bit more respect. Perhaps the members of the bad boys club will have to consider you for a special honourary membership.
