  1. I did exactly that a few months before. I couldn't justify the ridiculous amounts of money a 4.2 is.... Don't be afraid,
  2. Over boost does not bring engine light on. Clean the maf and see how it goes I had a bad belt that made a squeky noise like that on shutdown. Engine light may be due to water in fuel filter if no other codes are present when checking. Try filter. One other thing is it may be the turbo actuator as it may be leaking giving you the noise and not bring boost on. I don't think your hitting limp at 7psi Dan
  3. Ray..didn't realize you were on here..lol ..
  4. That exactly what I thought. And cross country 4x4 told me to do it when I bought the egr plate. Wish I had done it as it may have saved me $8,000 lol.. I doubt it as mine was so blocked. Clean it out..
  5. I had blocked mine off before the engine blew up. Looking at my engine rebuild it was quite obvious to me why piston 3 & 4 failed as the restrictions in manifold for those cylinders was unbelievable. I made curtain that egr was blocked before they started the motor. Very relieved that no egr crap is going into my motor. Hope it helps with longativity tho. Dan

  7. That forum is running as I just checked. One funny thing I just read on there. Someone asked when is forum going to be fixed and the reply stated that they can't do anything is owner has banned moderators from admin access and has gone MIA again. Lol Got to feel for those moderators as they have put a lot of time into it and it doesn't seem to be paying off. COME OVER HERE GUYS WERE YOU CAN BE APPRECIATED. I reckon the end is near Dan EDITED DUE TO DAMN SPELLCHECK

  19. Yes that was the final figure including new head. Towed it in and drove it out. Had a little trouble with it rough starting when cold for a few seconds. Replaced all fuel hoses and still no go. Took it back it to workshop and they couldn't find any leaks. They nipped up the injector pipes at back of pump and its started perfect the last couple of mornings. Hoping its fixed cause its so annoying. Real happy with the workmanship of the shop. Dan
