All the cables coming off the van battery are similar size to the meter by the looks of it, prolly 8 of them, so would those to the connector blocks be okay with the meter? I suppose the fridge would draw the most power which runs off gas when we are parked up, so if i left the fridge out of the circuit that would hopefully minimise problems. Actually i think youre right it was in the solar panel section, so i better be carefull with it. Thanks.
  5. I love the old crossplys on the red one!
  6. I'd love to get one of these snorkels, can they be modified for a 3.0l? Has anyone got one, whats the fit like on the body?

No worries, I dont think The 12v electrics in the van would hit 30 amps, what would be the best way to get 10 wires into one wire of the volt meter? cheers
  8. Nutta replied to Nutta's topic in Auto Electrical
Thanks guys, its only for the van so if i just throw it on the battery somewhere it will at least tell me the voltage? Cheers
  9. Cool. We were meant to go out to Goomburra last weekend but work screwed me over, so looking forward to getting out there soon.
  10. I bought one of these http://www.radioande...al-shunt-2.html for my van so i can keep an eye on whats going on. I have dual batteries and am guessing for this thing to work properly all wiring that comes off the batteries would need to go through this thing for the amps etc to show properly? If so, there are about 8 - 10 fairly thick wires coming off the batteries, so I'd need to fit something to put the wires into one plug so i can run them through this, is that right? Or can i just hook it up to a battery direct? Cheers
  11. I put a new ic fan on mine today, cleaned the catch can and tidied up some wiring, and just remembered now i was meant to get my spotties sorted. I might chuck the 35" muddies on tomorrow for something to do, after i take the missus out for mothers day with the kids!
  12. Bloody good idea, i might do the same, i've already got 3 or 4 things jammed in the front lighter plugs.
  13. I put one on mine a year or two back and found out later that i hadnt removed one of the bolts in the manifold, which screwed the fan in 1 day, there was an arrow pointing at the bolt on the diagram but it didnt say remove it, my bad luck. Anyway I decided to install another fan today and when i pulled the old one it had 3 blades missing, its got me stuffed how they broke of though, there was nothing obstructing them. Hopefully with the new fan, the dtronic and a 3" scotts rods going on on thursday she'll have some extra grunt, bloody need it towing the van!
  14. Nice setup! Its nice having a few luxuries ay. How was bestbrook? I always look in there when I'm running down to Rover etc but never got around to going there.
  15. I agree, ds is a dh, coles and woolies have been importing crap for years. And didnt dicky sell out to overseas?
