  1. I did look into cracking and got a mental picture of me getting fried and a crater where my shed used to be. WTF is hard to come by around here, I live in a rural area and most of the oil I get is diesel. I run it through this http://pabiodieselsupply.com/shop/waste-oil-centrifuge-65gphb-p-298.html. I run a 44 gal drum with no top and leave the fuge running for 24 hours or so. That way everything goes through the filters around 30 times. I either blend with 20% petrol or 50% diesel. The overflow from the fuge runs into a 1 micron bag filter to make sure I get everything I can out of it. I then leave it to sit for a few days and drain the thickest crap off of the bottom (usually around 20 liters). It then goes into my storage tank that once saw service as a home oil heating tank. My vids are here http://www.youtube.com/user/adrenalize666?feature=results_main.
  2. I blend ATM because a lot of the oil I pick up is to thick to put through the injector pump. I have run a few lots straight but with winter here I would need to heat it in the vehicle and cant be bothered. Yes its M E S S Y. I wear old overalls with old clothes underneath and often throw the clothes out. I notice EGTs a little higher with sump and some serious smoke when I leave it idling but so far nothing has clogged up. I also run a good quality fuel system cleaner with most of my batches. I use the Patrol as a part time pilot/escort vehicle for oversize loads and figure that between my wife and I we have saved around $7000 in the last few months, so if my injector pump cacks its self tomorrow, we are still well infront.
  3. Tonight she comes. The cars
  4. Nice. Did you get it built in or free standing
  5. Some people think that I'm retarded for running my two 3.0s on sump oil. 10000km and still rocking. Maybe i'm retarded and financially much better off. I am very interested in WI
  6. I just fired up (Pun intended) our Nectre Mk2 wood fire...............I love it. We got rid of the gas heater a couple of years ago and started collecting fire wood. I am enjoying playing with the chainsaws and bush bashing with the trailer on. After growing up in rural areas and moving to the city for 20 years or so, I had forgotten how good it all is. Great exercise too.
  7. That would have been a great idea. Why didnt I think of that???? Rather than running another wire from the Ignition like I did today. I have a 100 amp solenoid in the shed lol
  8. Yep. Thats why i'm looking for a power source somewhere else. Any ideas?
  9. the above mentioned dash lights stayed on until I ran a sensor wire from an ignition switched power wire to the sensor on the alt (factory wire must have a break somewhere). Now when I use the wipers with the thermo fan going the three lights flash. I dont want to poke another wire through the fire wall, it would be much easier to find one under the bonnet. I was just hoping that somebody had found an easy one to get to.
  10. I have the wire for my IC thermo relay and the alternator sensor wire connected to the power wire to the wipers. When the thermo and wipers are both on, my alt, hand break and sub tank light flash as the wipers sweep the screen. Is there another ignition switched wire somewhere under the bonnet that I can use and give the sensor wire a better dose of power? The lights stay out when I run the sensor wire from the battery.
  11. Might just be Moist Ba ha haha

  13. Facebook is not responsible for making people stupid. They were retards before, they just have a bigger audience now.

  16. This reminds me of my father, who, in a moment of stupidity pushed a block of wood through a circular bench saw. Thus becoming the first person in the world to have a thumb reattached. (what a dubious claim to fame) LOL
  17. I wanted an ex telstra ute for ages but couldn't find one for the right price. Good on you and good luck with it :-)
  18. Quality of antenna seems to make a bit of a difference too. The crappy antique antenna I was using broke so I replaced it with this. http://www.mobileone.com.au/antennas/brochures/F477SAN4.png. Reception and transmit are much clearer and longer range.
  19. Patrol would have been the better vehicle to take ;-).......Fancy doin that in a Geep
  20. Let us know what you think
  21. I have some boxing gloves and shin/instep pads. Those who feel the need to argue can "Get in the ring" so to speak. That would be worth driving out there for and would be another attraction at the Birdsville Pub :-)
  22. Back in Black AC/DC
  23. I went solid clutch. It is a bit harsher but the money I saved will buy at least one more clutch and maybe cover the cost of machining next time.
  24. Fitting my sliders. They started life as a pair of heavy duty side steps off of something??????? A few mods and they will look a treat
