  1. Sweet. I assume that it would be the same in a GU so the next time I have my rear draws out I might do my main and have a look at my sub tank too.
  2. Is the air gap there in a diesel?

I got a Chinese ebay mig for x mas. Under $300 and its fantastic. My son in law is a boiler maker and was impressed enough to buy his father one for his birthday.
  4. WOW. The bottom one has a USB log built in.
  5. One simple word to promote the forum.........Stickers. Big and small
  6. I have quit smoking for four months but I am now fully addicted to these http://vaporsmiths.com/. I went from 40 12mg smokes a day to 0 literally over night. No cravings, no anger no worries. The problem is I have to order these from the states and they take 10 days to get here. I had a minor throat irritation for the first week or two but it now costs me about $6 per day instead. No smell, no toxins, no fire risk, much healthier and you can use them in a pub because there is no smoke.
  7. After filling up 10 minutes ago, I find that after doing some hard testing and re-setting up of the Dawes/needle valve. Lots of around town work and a bit of highway, my fuel bill was 38.99 liters for 381km. That says to me that I have got just over 10lts per 100km. Nothing to worry about with the 3.0 i think
  8. Fly on the wall...AC/DC
  9. Shussh man, he's an under cover cop lol
  10. Third floor, on the right hand side lol
  11. I have 265 75 16 at 40 psi with no roof rack. I have a factory bar, winch, draws full of crap, rear bar and Ying Tong e bay snorkel. I get between 9 and 11 kays per 100 on the open road, depending on how I drive and down to 13 if i push it in town. EDIT, Update: I just filled up. Now with the roof bars , Pilot/Escort sign and lights fitted and about 200km of driving with the sign up I used 90l for 733km. Thats about 12.3l per 100
  12. I have just been on the Donaldson site looking for a new bowl for my pre cleaner. https://dynamic.dona...104&item=140565. According to the site, my pre cleaner is good for 170 cfm. Can anyone tell me if this is big enough for a zd30 or am I restricting the engine. The reason I ask is that it seems far louder on this patrol than it was on the old (worn out.....no compression) TB42. It there a formula to work this out with a turbo?
  13. Fitted a rubber shroud around the I/C fan and read this thread. I too will have cig lighters and usb in the rear of my console soon. Farrrrrrk yeah.
  14. Damn. Now I want one of these too
  15. I replaced the 6000km old oil and air filters and the problem is solved. It runs like a dream again. Maybe it was some dirty fuel or a dodgy filter. I still don't know what the squeak is but am not too bothered. Thanks for the guess cairnsGU, and for all of the other ideas guys
  16. I might message the guy and offer him $1500 for the GQ and see what he says?
  17. I love that GQ, I wonder if he would drop the price to .....say.......A quarter mil????????
  18. Pulled the plastic engine cover off and found the boost sensor in the I/C unplugged. Since I cant buy vacume hose to replace the clear plastic crap that came with the gauge, in Oakey on a Saturday arvo, I have plugged the sensor back in and disconnected the battery for a while to see if it will reset something and stop the engine light coming on.I will clean the maf while I wait. The boost gauge hose is blowing off at 15psi and interestingly, the engine light is coming on at about 1500 rpm on its way back down after accelerating in third gear (even if the hose stays on). I rev the motor to about 3000 rmp in third, lift my foot to change to fourth and as the tach drops (gets to about 1500), the light comes on..........Go figure
  19. I am using their concentrated coolant, it seems to be good.
  20. I wish that I had thought of the fishing line
  21. geeyoutoo It is really sounding a lot like a loss of vacuum effecting boost, or a leak somewhere in the line to the boost gauge. That was my train of thought. I am looking forward to pulling stuff apart and finding it. I might even pull the inlet manifold and t/body off for a good clean
  22. I will clean the MAF and check its voltages. Thanks guys . Any more ideas are more than welcome

  24. Swore at it and threw stuff. Does that count? Oh yeah, I soldered up a cig lighter plug so that I can charge the rear battery from its lighter socket.
  25. I can reply but I still get the malware warning, have no emails from the site and cant use the search function. Damn shame, its a great site.
