Only recently bought this one after starting to miss having a 4WD, my last one was a 2000 DX5 4.2 I sold when I moved down from the Pilbara, (wished I'd kept some of the accessories now) All new work recently done is a injected 6lt Chevy conversion, Koni Suspension, Mickey Thompson rims with 285 BFG AT's, full front, rear and side ARB barwork, Snorkel, Matt Black paint, Manta exhaust system, parts in my shed still to fit when I get 5 seconds to myself, finish off dual battery install, fit spotlights to bar, and LED light bar to roof racks... Hey guys. Got my rig sorted finally and now I can tell you all about it. Bought a gq rb30 with 170,000km so was pretty stoked to find a low km one. Went to Noo Jee camping and realised that I had to do something about the power or lack of it. I had to sit in 2nd ringing the tits off it to get up the hill coming into Neerim from Noo Jee. So I started to collect bits and pieces for a turbo conversion. What I ended up with is a pretty neat install and a bit of power as well. I must admit not a bad job for a first timer. Thought my Wagon needed a thread! haha Here it is Its a 2000 ZD30 GU, I thought it was a good buy had done 210,000km but had a rebuilt engine 20,000km before so heaps cheaper than buying one with a few less kms but having to rebuild in a few more kms. Anyway, it came pretty much standard apart from electric trailer brakes, UHF and a hyclone. <=Awesome ... not! Hi all on the other site and I like the smaller sites do here I am . This is the troll it's only a 2.8 but it does have most of the bells and whistles so it can go most places and I like to do all the work myself being a mechanic The troll has arb lockers front and rear sitting on 285/75/16 copper st 4 inch lift that consists of kings spring and raw shocks which I'm changing out for some remote res I think it has a genuine steel bull bar with a 12000lb winch fitted that I have a remote control kit to fit led running lights in the bar with two sets of spottiies lightforce 240 and just some small spread beams half roof rack with 35w hid spots on the rear it sports a twin…

ok here it is.. Bought the old girl a couple years ago for 2k with a blown head gasket and a horrible bullbar. So with the head gone the first thing was to get her running, she had 149.000km on the clock i belive this is accurate as she felt amazing to drive nothing worn or clunking and the obvious things like gear knob and steering wear indicated that i had picked a winner, but the head was a worry so off it came. The good news is no major problems! got the head shaved and all valves got a grind and springs were checked and no cracks in the head, precomp were ok, all for 700 neat. new headgasket and we had it running.
