To avoid any potential for inaccuracy contained in my review – real or unintended - I have decided to amend it. Since first writing my review I have considered what I really wanted to achieve from the diesel chip review; ie: focus on what extra, if anything, I could get from the Chip It performance chip. I do not think that the amendments that I have made to the review detract from that intention. One of the benefits of modern diesels is the ability to use performance chips, similar to what has been available for many years now for petrol vehicles. Diesel chip technology is far more complex than that for petrol engines because of the way that diesels produce power; …

The wheels keep falling of the global boring Bullchit. "Two months ago, James Lovelock, the godfather of global warming, gave a startling interview to msnbc.com in which he acknowledged he had been unduly “alarmist” about climate change. The implications were extraordinary. Lovelock is a world-renowned scientist and environmentalist whose Gaia theory — that the Earth operates as a single, living organism — has had a profound impact on the development of global warming theory. Unlike many “environmentalists,” who have degrees in political science, Lovelock, until his recent retirement at age 92, was a much-honoured working scientist and academic. His inventions ha…

Well I've just completed my first tank after running injector cleaner threw. And I've just calculated my usage... And a good mix of town, highway and towing has come out at 14.5L/100K.. So I think that's pretty good. I'm hoping the snorkel and exhaust will improve it again..

  17. As extracted from my post on P4x4: Just picked up my second hand Warn winch today, got it in the shed and sat it next to my deceased Tigerz11 and a mates original Aldi winch (which lived a hard life and died winching a massive log underwater for ages). I was astonished at the size difference!!! It's heaps different! Im not sure what to trust, is the Warn over-engineered for being 9,000lb or even 12,000lb or is the Tigerz11 under-engineered for 9,000lb or even 12,000lb and is the Aldi neutral! Im not sure??? Eitherway looks like the Aldi is a good buy and the Warn I assume once freshened up will last me longer than the Tigerz11 Notes: - The Aldi and Warn…

I have a couple of spare 100w spotties i was thinking of mounting on the front of my full length rack. I'm just trying to work out the best way to run the wiring to the lights without looking like shyte. I'm kinda thinking out the grill in front of the windscreen, tuck it into the gutter beside the windscreen then up the leg of the rack to the spotties. Does anyone else have any thoughts that may work better? Cheers Wayne

What size winch would one reccommend for a 4.2TD with a few bells and whistles - like cargo cage on top, rear bar with two spares on it, bull bar with winch (obviously) Is a 9000 pound big enough or does it need to be bigger?
