  1. I've expressed my interest on their website, will definately get one to play with.
  2. Damn have to start organising a trip up to QLD so we can take that tinnie out..
  3. Blue - Eiffel 65
  4. Geeyoutoo had a USB port on his dash somewhere too.. my stereo surround fascia is getting pretty butchered so I'll chuck one there, one up in my overhead console and I'm thinking about putting one in each rear door for the kids.. I'll give it a crack on the weekend. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  5. Good idea Ray! Will keep that idea in mind!
  6. Yum.. Should get some and play around with them. Noticed in the Jaycar catalouge there is ARDUINO kits and spares too..
  7. Found some little boxes in jaycar.. Was the smallest i could find so ill have to use them.. Prob good to keep some air around the circuit board anyway.. Some will be hard wired with USB cables, but at least one will be under my EGT gauge covering a hole i butchered.. Stay tuned
  8. Crazy.. to get these imported from the states they were about $5-$6 ea - Jaycar selling for $19 ea I bought 5.
  9. yeah i had a look at them. The ones i saw were only 500mw. Im off to Jaycar at lunch time to look at jiffy boxes.
  10. OK, So im sick of having cigerette plug double adapters, cables going everywhere, phones falling out of the overhead thing and - not being able to charge my Samsung tablet while its running unless its plugged into a 240 inverter socket. The problem comes from the fact that a normal USB socket can only supply 500ma. if you are lucky and can join 2 together (or have a high power USB port) you can get 1A. Tablets need around 2 A to charge and run at the same time. I had a 1A usb plug which was fine for my phone, but not the tablet.. Increasing the charge supply might also speed up the charge time for phones, cameras etc. These just arrived on my desk from the states, my plan is to remove them from their cases and mount them in small jaycar boxes, and then around the car, just running 12V to each. They have 2 ports - one is 1A the other is 2.1A More pics to follow as i install them into the car.
  11. I have also done this mod and its pretty handy at times. thought id add some pics of my install. Mounting the relays near the ECU Making up earth straps for the relays Arm switch off and on Torque converter Engaged LED Other relays under the dash Foot activation switch Part number for footswitch (Jaycar) Part number for LED light.
  12. The BOM website should take some formatting advice from the Godaddy website... I wouldn't notice the advertising then
  13. Didn't get there in the end. Nearly missed the plane home but got a ripper coffee in down Lygon street. If I ever move out of Adelaide (yeah right!) It will be to somewhere near Melbourne. Always nice to visit for the day and some wickid 4wding not too far away.
  14. Nah mate as Ray said you don't want too much grease in there. I degreased mine and lightly greased then to check them before I sold them.. you could try that.. also as others mentioned try locking the hubs manually when going off road. Hth Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  15. Yeah i replaced my auto hubs with DX manual hubs. Dunno if they were off a GU or GQ. Mine wouldn't disengage sometimes and would click.. It ended up just being some twat had filled the hubs up with grease instead of just lightly greasing them but i had bought the replacements by then so i swapped them over and sold the autos. Pretty easy to do (doesn't require a 4lb hammer) hahaha Only time it is inconvenient is when its raining and im going on a dirt road for a short time - i have to get out and engage and disengage but other than that they have been really good. Ohh and the time some numpty locked them while i was parked in the shopping centre carpark..
  16. Need to have 15 cars going to make it worthwhile for the owners - anyone else keen? Check out the link above for details!
  17. LoL @ the photo. If I was a kangaroo and I was standing next to a fire that had the dismembered corpse of one of my skippy mates slowly (yet succulently) rotating I'd be like WTF too Hahaha Only thing better is the glass of Shiraz that goes along with it
  18. I keep hearing those voices too. If I ignore them for long enough I'm hoping the lawn will in fact mow itself and the shed will put itself up.. ohh no the voices are saying that isn't going to happen... maybe the unfreezing process has destroyed my inner monolouge?
  19. Count how many things are being done incorrectly in this photo.
  20. I think I all ready have.. but that's another story ..
  21. Mind if I use this in my email acceptable use policy at work? Classic
  22. Just needs a "you're a twat" button and I would never get any work done! Hahaha
  23. Appears to be 40kmph in SA when going past an emergency services vehicle that has flashing red and blue lights. http://www.dpti.sa.gov.au/roadsafety/safer_speeds/speed_limits So, in theory (if this law was put in place about fining rubberneckers) a police car could stop on the side of the road with its lights on and fine people for going under or over the speed limit. Not that they would, I'm sure they have better things to do.. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
