  3. Im pretty sure when ive done the 5k speedo test on the highway my odo is near spot on also, ill check next time i see one. Cheers
  4. I get a bit lost with the boost/fuel usage thing. I thought if you raised the boost you were putting in less fuel? When i drop the boost via the needle valve the egts rise way up which i thought meant more fuel? If i drop the boost i also lose power too. On the highway at around 110kph my egts are around 320. Could someone help me answer this.
  5. Fark, that was a terrible read, I cant believe how well he came out of it, those doctors are amazing. You wouldnt believe something so simple could turn so bad. Best wishes to him.
  6. I bought a cheapy tablet holder somewhere and just screwed it straight onto the faceplate beside the stereo, works okay and is low enough not to be obvious, it doesnt get in the way too much of the passenger either, i realise not everyone wants screw holes in their faceplates too.
  7. Exactly the same! Maybe its a bit like the crd fuel thing, ive long given up!
  8. So running 285s does this mean im getting better than 15.8 lph, maybe 14.8 with this 6% thing?
  9. Check this dribble out, pages of crap! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TOYOTA-LANDCRUISER-FJ40-SOA-EXTREME-COMP-4X4-TRUCK-JEEP-NISSAN-RECOVERY-VEHICLE-/160811399312?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item25711b3890#ht_4527wt_1363

  11. Im glad i was able to have a bit of fun before all this bs got out of control!
  12. In its earlier days ebay was great, i picked up some bargains and flogged off some shit for good money, its also good for those things that you would normally bin, they just seem to sell. I must say these days its a bit like cash converters, everything is 10% under new!
  13. Your song - elton john
  14. Looks awesome! So hows it coming along? Any dyno results yet?
  15. I'll try and get a pic of my setup, i bought an adapter off ebay and screwed the thing into the face plate to the left of the stereo, a bit close to the passengers right leg but not to bad, and a good position to see the screen, Ray, maybe you could use sticky velcro to the dash and the plug, that would be pretty solid i would imagine.
  16. I am running 285s which prolly holds it back a bit, although with those on it does run true with the gps. But yeah, its shit!
  17. Actually my uncle owns a yard and he's pretty honest, hes been dudded a few times too. He bought a car off someone once and when they brought it back to drop it off they pushed it in saying it just run outta juice, it was to late when he discovered it had no head! And what about when someone brings in a car with a cracked head or something full of leak seal, he doesnt know, a month later it shits and hes the fucking crook! Believe me it goes both ways! And my other uncle also owned yards and he was a bloody rat!!
  18. Cool rig mate, its nice to see an old girl resurrected.
  19. I read elsewhere the possibility of a v8 diesel in them too, that would be nice!

  23. beating around the bush - adam brand
  24. I have a few sets of wheels, one being 35" muddies, they fit great on a 2" lift, if you can get some spare rims keep both, one for the road and the others for bashing. The muddies can be bloody noisy on tar! Cheers
  25. Ive had 35s in muddies and ats on my gu3 with a 2" lift, the only spot they hit was up under the inside rear guard under full compression and the (what ever that long bloody arm is called that runs to the front diff housing) on full lock. One set are nissan offset and ones toyota, and one clips the front and the other the rear, so with the right offset front and rear neither would scrub (in my case). Christ, i nearly lost myself then!
