  1. Cleaned it out, changed the air cleaner/oil/ filter, loaded up the fridge and packed some food and had a beer with it. I'm off to Innamincka in the morning for work.
  2. Picked up a set of mine spec lights (handy for work) for $70 on Ebay.
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum. If they are the genuine IPFs like mine, you will probably have to pay a fortune for the chrome rings. I have a cracked lens. IPF want $180 to replace it so i just put that plastic lens protector stuff over it. Steel wool (fine grade) will normally remove surface rust but if the chrome is lifting, they cant be cleaned. Maybe get a price on getting them rechromed? Sids metal polishing at Slacks Creek charged me $50 to do a fork leg for my bike a few years ago so it should be cheap enough. Good luck
  4. I have just got an Ultra-gauge. Its pretty cool and shows all kinds of info, most of which I have no interest in. The reason I bought it was to reset my Check Engine Light after an EGT block. Agter fitting the gadget to my 08 CRD I had a small job starting in Charleville, SWQ and ending in Toowoomba, SEQ. A round trip of about 1200km. The CRD is overboosting but I have ordered a Dawes Valve to stop this. I am averaging about 12lph. The thing that has made me start this thread is the fact that when I over boost, the fuel consumption rockets to 16lph, Has anyone with poor fuel economy figures on a CRD tried an Ultra-gauge or a Dawes Valve?
  5. I dont know a great deal about them yet but the Isuzu 4BD1t sounds good. I might start looking into them a bit.
  6. Fitted an air scoop type thing to direct airflow over the front of my canopy, blocked the egr and watched the boost spike to 25+psi then disconected the battery to reset the ecu. If that doesn't fix the boost I will have to adjust the vnt screw
  7. Try some of that green tyre seal stuff from supercrap. I used it in my muddies as they all had slow leaks when I bought them (second hand). Fixed the problem and should stop punctures.
  8. Fitted an air scoop type thing to direct airflow over the front of my canopy, blocked the egr and watched the boost spike to 25+psi then disconected the battery to reset the ecu. If that doesn't fix the boost I will have to adjust the vnt screw. OOOOOPS, wrong thread. Meant to post in GU lol
  9. I have recently bought a CRD 3.0l, ( now 110000km) after reading and estimating where my clutch bites at, I will be up for a new one soon. I replaced the DMF in my Di wagon with a single mass and like the feel. The ZD30 Navara has a single mass flywheel from standard. Will it fit the Patrol? Will a second hand Navara flywheel+machining be cheaper than a new after market fly wheel? Are there any reasons not to do this?I think a Navara clutch wont last, will a Patrol one match up?
  10. I put a pic up in the Bogmeisters new Troll thread, Jus for you lol. Painted and fitted my ugly duckling scoop and put a can of 3 bond manifold cleaner down the throttle body. Dont seem no different tho . Dunno if I really expected anything to happen. Just thought something might
  11. \ Im not even going to respond to that. I am still busy doing "productive" stuff lol
  12. My Ex Telstra CRD cooler is cracked and would never have had a fan onit. I think they are just a piss poor design.
  13. Fresh paint and a new home Again it dropped the EGT by about 20C
  14. I cant believe I just wasted 10 minutes (slow reader) reading this thread. Why did you guys even bother bickering? Its rare that any of you will ever see anything on the net that affects your life enough to make you upset. We all post crap at times, so why not have a whinge and try and upset eachother.....DUH. Grow up guys. Now I just wasted 10 minutes replying FFS. I'm going to get some paint and match my bonnet scoop to my ute. Much more productive.
  15. I paid 32k for this 2008 ex telstra ute with 102000km on the clock. It came with the winch, bar, spotties, dual batterys, canopy, wiring, inside lights, shelves (hot water system was missing). I have since fitted all the other bits you see in the pics.] The exhaust is legal (if you live in uzbekistan)
  16. Whiskey in a jar. Thin Lizzy (Metallica covered it too)
  17. I will post a pic of my egt when I get one in daylight. Had the 2.5 in zorst fitted today with no muffler, finishing at the back of the cab. I love it. I have knocked 2lph off of my fuel consumption and it sounds like a semi. Pulled my tow bar out with the winch on the wagon ( must have been in there for a while). Played with the gauges now that they both work and drove the wheels off of it.
  18. Fitted boost/egt gauges, rear view camera to the ute and Cleaned the I/c, looked at the throttle body and said stuff it, it can stay dirty. I also fixed a loose wire on the wagon spottie. Off to get a 2 3/4 inch zorst tomorrow
  19. Pulled all of my pilot gear out/off of my wagon, We pick the new Telstra ute up tomorrow and the real work will begin.
  20. I have a redarc in the ute and a Matson in the wagon. Both work well. I use little red LED volt meters to monitor all the batteries that I paid about $3.95 each for from Fleabay.
  21. Have you tried Bit Torrent? I dont condone stealing stuff off of the 'net but it is a suggestion. Thanks for the heads up on the scumbags
