  1. Re-read Tips how not to appear crazy on the Interwebz again. The last sentence should clear any doubts
  2. I tend to agree with both views, but also add my 2 cents worth. We seem to also forget that food is being considered an entertainment as well which is another hurdle some overweight people have to face. Problem with that kind of thought is that our bodies are programmed for time of plenty and starvation cycles. So now we still eat like we going to starve except we've got "plenty" cycle going only with added social pressures Combined all that fuel(food) with more sedate lifestyle we now have and fatties are easily made. The constant barrage of cooking shows, food commercials and what not is making sure that no one forgets that food is available. Food manufacturing (what an oddity) is a big business and creates masses of fat people. It is hard, inconvenient and expensive to eat healthy. Cheers
  3. Perhaps, one should stick to their own advice eh --> http://pjmedia.com/blog/tips-for-not-appearing-crazy-on-the-internet/ The Yanks, always on the look out for their enemies, be the Reds under the beds, drug runners, illegal immigrants, turban wearing holy warriors nut cakes, lazy homeless blacks as always it is someone else's fault, it is always just the one man on the top fault, no one else. If there ever was a country with more stupid, paranoid, brain washed and ignorant citizens it would make good ole U.S. of A like a paradise not!
  4. Have you got a pics of the leak, pictures are worth thousand of words. Cheers
  5. Wow, so NBC, Bitdefender and Cory Doctorow are all crazy people according F.J. Fleming. Phew, I thought these were the reputable sorts. Thanks for the warning Ray from now on I'm only getting the real truth from ABC. Edit: Damn them crazies are there too >> http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-07-20/microsoft-reports-first-ever-loss/4143072
  6. Ouch, --> http://marketday.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/07/19/12837611-microsoft-reports-first-quarterly-loss-ever?lit "Microsoft, the once-dominant computer software giant that has seen its fortunes wane in recent years, posted its first quarterly loss since emerging as a public company in 1986 Thursday." Lets hope Windows x.x™ will turn the fortunes around a bit....... On another note ---> http://www.securityweek.com/apple-yanks-privacy-app-app-store "......41.4 percent of apps were shown to track a user's location unbeknownst to them....." "...In simple terms, Clueful identifies potentially intrusive applications and shows users what they do behind their back...." " ....So why would Apple pull such an App from the App store? It’s unclear, and the company is under NDA as far as explanations for the removal......" Yay, Apple, the guardian of your privacy and computational freedom...... Feelings of 'deja vu' for some >>> "Freedom in the future will require us to have the capacity to monitor our devices and set meaningful policies for them; to examine and terminate the software processes that runs on them; and to maintain them as honest servants to our will, not as traitors and spies working for criminals, thugs, and control freaks. " corporations, governments and do gooders. http://boingboing.net/2012/01/10/lockdown.html
  7. Welcome to the forum, looks like you guys have plenty of fun there too. Cheers
  8. I'm not sure myself , gotta ask "GPSTI" about that one ...... I don't mind discussing things/whatever(like computational freedom) but I have no intention of feeding trolling comment from certain posters. What is the point? Wasting my time which I'd rather use on something else. I agree with why indeed one would want to do software development on such laptop but I'd have guessed that Dell did their market research and know which power users they are targeting. Perhaps this is their mobile companion option to their existing desktop machines.
  9. +1, got that thing right.
  10. Hmm, doesn't compute (.....for someone who writes essays but can't read what other write ! .....) "..... says the developer version will be the high end configuration of the XPS13, with 4GB of RAM, an Intel Core i7 processor and a 256GB solid state " ..... "...the demand from power users never really went away. Since the original announcement of Project Sputnik Dell has gathered extensive feedback ....." " ......it will be more clear to buyers that this is a computer for power users........" Read massive multi-taskers. LOL, 4GB of RAM is too much for ya. My Linux i7 lappie has 8GB and I'm considering upgrading to 16. Asking such questions suggest your total ignorance or lack of understanding of software writing (not really surprised ..... , )do you know who the software developers are, what they do? People who run compilers, virtual environments software testing, code debugging whatnot, create web content software, forums/bulletins not MS office spreadsheets or watching Ucrap tube™ video snippets or searching for cooking recipes or playing Solitaire card games or use said navigational software ..........
  11. Talking about Dell....................... Dell Gives Linux Laptops Another Chance Today Dell announced its official re-entry into the Linux laptop market. Project Sputnik, ........ http://techcrunch.co...another-chance/
  12. Dealer is right, VP44 (injection pump) especially struggles. So lift pump like Carter 4600 can help and adding another filter/water (like 10 micron Racor or CAV sedimenter/filter) separator than might be useful too. Don't forget you need to modify spill line so full is returned to the tank. Cheers
  13. I don't, you do as you couldn't help it with a subtle hint that if Labor trash hasn't been elected then we would be better off which is a myth. Anyway he is a leader of this bunch of leeches in this case Howard had a opportunity to use the surplus he reaped from taxing us blind to invest in Australia's benefit. Instead he left it "under the mattress" like an old scrooge he was so the Labor thieves could/would lay waste to it! As far as I'm concerned they are all the same trash be Labor, Liberal, Greens, Nationals whatever they called! They should all be burned at stakes, nothing like a good ole witch hunt. Had the silly pensioner retired and handed over the reigns to Costello things would/might also be different. Cheers
  14. Sure we miss that old leech too ---> http://www.news.com.au/ex-pm-john-howard-costs-taxpayers-more-in-retirement/story-0-1225757105993 http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-national/howard-spends-186k-on-office-facilities-20100624-z3ni.html http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/archive/national-old/ex-pm-john-howards-travel-and-office-perks/story-e6freuzr-1226411622983 Geez how we miss him being in the grave already..........
  15. SA has had recycling scheme going on for years This is another FUD from AFGC (Australia Food and Grocery Council) as being the industry mouth piece. Is it any surprise that a study paid for by them is supportive of their argument. And how is it a tax? As usual unscrupulous ass holes are trying to take an advantage once again. Yes, they're certainly forcing me to collect the frigging containers and than returning them for cash exchange and yes I hate it with a passion but to call it a tax is misleading as I'm able to get the deposit back. Here I have a choice albeit uncomfortable one. My head hurts from all these biased lies and misinformation. These swines are making billions from fleecing consumers and now they're feeling for the poor families because lousy 10-20 cents per container. Of course the Greens loopy idea that it should apply to every container is another matter. Fuel excise levy no matter what level or indexation is still a tax so when GST is calculated on top of it it still a tax on tax! It s a rip off so if Joe Hockey is so concerned about that he should also question that one but of course he ain't gonna do that because it was his party which implemented/continued that rip off. We are being screwed at every level no matter who is in the government. When the ALP dogs are confined to the garbage dump of history the Liberals will happily keep the Carbon tax going and introducing new taxes to go around this people should be ......
  16. Oh yeah, can't wait for that. I wish Peter would loosened up a bit and share the code if he's not willing to do it himself, I'd happily pay for that piece of code. Cheers
  17. Makes me wonder where Mr Hockey was when GST was (and still is) applied to fuel excise levy (another tax by another name) isn't that tax on tax? what a double faced looser and hypocrite. It is a pity that Hewson's model wasn't applied, we would be much better off today. Oh well, when one has to choose between Labor dog turd or Liberal horse chit no wonder this country is what it is. Cheer
  18. Perhaps using glue will work but I'd preferred to have the fitting silver soldered in to the pipe that way there is no way it will ever come off. The best way is to have 1/4 gas to 1/8 gas adaptor fitting soldered there and than you have a point from which you can use whatever you need, be it the elbow, T-ee or straight fitting or plug if not in use. Cheers PS: No, that is not a glue to use. It is not a glue it just a thread locker and relies on more than just single thread (in this case cause the pipe is not that thick) to hold the threaded section form loosening up.
  19. Just look for "tamper proof" Torx bits. Thats what they're called. Cheers
  20. Increased government control and surveilance of the public is something which really gives me chits. All their excuses as to why they need to do this and that are just feeble attempts to pull a blind over public eyes so they can get away with it. Sorry I have to disaggre with a statement like : I have nothing to hide therefore nothing to fear. Perhaps for now you have but god knows what will happen in the future. Just learn from a history. Rise of Nazis, Russian revolution to name a few. As the: "Those who cannot remember the past, are condemned to repeat it". Unfotunately we live in a society conditioned to believe that government does the right thing for us the public. Those who challenge those practices are at the receiving end of this abuse of power. If anything the power of the executive should be curtailed even more. Who is watching the watchmen? Dronus, beware what you are wishing for....... No Ray, you aren't the only one who notice the trend of power grabbing entities slowly tightening the screws on the pseudo democracy we have. The link you have provided is/should be compulsory viewing indeed. Cheers
  21. Why stop just there, get rid off of this state nonsense once and for all and as Jacket has suggested create one Australia, no more state governments and parliaments leeches and what not. Yeah right, ...."the pigs are all fed, idling on the runway ready to fly"......and Nissan will be fitting Duramax V8s to GU's as an factory option for just $5K extra.
  22. I'm glad I could be of a help/service/assistance to you. Don't mention it!
  23. Just reread "1984" again, that guy (George Orwell) was a genius and than accept inevitable..... Ray, how did this escape your attention --> http://m.news.com.au...0/fi1704764.htm did you have too much of a good time with Ubuntu today?
  24. Now that Ray got his opinion validated (see bellow) and what a long way around it he went there is no need for this post either. Cheers
  25. Right, now Ray explained his long way around to say the Linuux is not the replacement for peoples problems with Windows and Apple there is no need for this post anymore.
