Test Your Knowledge
Yep sounds like glow plugs. Listen to hear if the glow plug relay engages when you key to ign. Could also use a multi meter to check for voltage at the plugs.. sounds like none of them are working so probably a wiring issue from the relay to the plug rail, or fuse. 3.0 lt di fuel economy
Tyre pressure makes a big difference IMHO. It won't ride as softly but it rolls a bit better. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

NADS step by step guide
Howdy! Yep, apologies for my slackness in finishing this DIY, I've been flying around the country for work and adding in bits and pieces where I can.. I'll add the EGR plate bit next for you. Its pretty easy to do. Do you have a di or crd engine? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Dash Mounted Tablet
I actually have the mount upside down in those pics, the wider arms should be on the bottom. It does stick to my bedside table, making reading the forum or watching a movie easy if I'm crashing out.. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Dash Mounted Tablet
Here is my mount for my Samsung galaxy 10.1 It seems to work well but I'm keen to do something similar to rays suggestion and have a stronger mount on the dash. Still working on that.. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

DIY Dual Wheel Carrier/Rearbar
I'm more at home in front of Netapp SANs and vmware vcentre's but I have bought a welder and by hook or by crook I am going to learn to weld so I can make something practical like this... The other weekend I welded some star pickits together for practice.. was a bit of fun. Bought a cool welding helmet and safety gear.. wife is constantly giving me crap about it will end up in the shed with all the other "toys"! My friend is a welder by trade, I just need to get some beers as payment for more lessons! Bar looks great hey hey!

3" exhaust
Excellent, congrats on the new zorst! I've heard really good things about Scotts rods so it sounds like you have made a good choice. You may find that the turbo may spool up faster with the freer flowing exhaust, but it sounds like you are onto that.. Definately makes s difference in egt, when I went to a beadesert 2 3/4 straight thru with hf cat I noticed the power and temps straight away. Yours may be different, but I had to have my dump pipe replaced under warrenty as the support bracket broke. The new one was different and went to another hole.. I had mine fitted too, they had to modify it to go past my diesel gas tank. Congrats again ! Get out there and enjoy it! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

3.0 lt di fuel economy
Nah I have 265/75/16 which is standard I think? Mine are MT tyres and if I'm going for a long drive on the black stuff I'll pump them up to 40-42psi cold. Looking back I wish I knew patrols had good fuel economy - I wouldn't have leased other cars for so long !

In car USB charging DIY
Maybe start up a new topic to keep that mod separate to this one? Picking up a dremel and new hot glue gun tomorrow, should have some pics of this mod up this weekend. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Snatch Recovery Techniques
Thanks. I am going to do that from now on when I get snatched out, seems like it will put a lot less stress on the chasis than snatching from a single point. Slightly OT but is it the same when winching, ie better to use a bridle, or is one point OK?

Snatch Recovery Techniques
can you use a tree trunk protector as a bridle strap? seems to be differing opinions on the net.. im guessing by connecting the bridle/TTP to my two front recovery points after slipping the snatch strap eyelet through it would be pretty good..

Don't leave battery powered devices on your dash

Winch Mechanical Review - Tigerz11, Warn and Aldi
it would be nice to know (if the data exists) which model or year winches are being compared if possible. With the evolution of winch manufacturers updating their products if would make sense that the reader is comparing apples with apples. I'm sure the OP is, but I'm just asking the question. Winches are also like any consumer commodity being that performance and reliability have a direct coralation to how they are maintained and utilised. I'm sure I don't have to explain that (especially to us zd30 owners ) Good review, after buying the new Grande tigerz11 winch I'm not sure that I would want an aldi winch instead but horses for courses I guess. If SA had some decent tracks nearby that I could get to every weekend I'd buy a warn winch too Cheers Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

A brilliant idea for locks
Yeah or just smash a window.. if they want to get into your house or car they will.. I just try and make it less appealing so the crooks go to the next car or house.. RFID would be good, I bought a kit once but never got around to fitting it..

3.0 lt di fuel economy
I get around 10l/100 most of the time.. a recent trip to Sydney I filled up at wagga wagga after doing 1000km and I put 100l in. That was with a full car and that big hill out of Adelaide.. Wind makes a big difference to my economy.. a recent trip to the west coast for fishing into a 40knot headwind saw my patrol drinking the diesel..
